It’s interesting. I’m enjoying the high reps currently. I’ll find a top to this and then work some 8s, 5s, etc. I may just work in the 10s to 5s for awhile. No real plan currently just focusing on the squat and hitting a top set on the other main movements doing accessories and lots of core work and posterior chain stuff. Just really going by feel.
I’m enjoying the feeling of being leaner and moving better without breathing hard.
Started to do GHR and rev hypers. Got to talking to some people that haven’t been in the gym for a long time (surgery). And got cold. Just packed it in and shut it down
Had a nice set of squats tonight. I could have ground the hell out of 285 and got 10. I decided to be conservative and focus on form and quality reps. I may be leaving some on the table but it is working and I’m making progress again.
I’m going to stay with what I’m doing right now. Continuing to cut, working with the higher rep ranges and taking what is available for the day during workouts. I’m not really pushing weight on the bar and haven’t been since the injury.
Like yesterday. I hit a set of squats, did some bodyweight stuff. Was going to push on some accessories but wasn’t feeling it honestly and everything worked out fine. I’m a little sore in the legs today, not crushed and will recover before my next workout.
This last injury has really put me in a place to learn about nutrition and effort lifting.
I stopped and got a bottle of barcardi clear, kracken spiced, and some yuenglings.
Currently I’m on the back porch listening to some 80s-90s rock and enjoying some ice cold refreshments. Diet will not be on point but I don’t care. School is out. I go back to work on July 31.
