Lost Weight

im new to the site as well as lifting so i dont know if this situation was posted or even if this is a situation…but i wanted to know if it was normal to lose weight when lifting…ive been lifting for about 2months with no diet…and about a week ago i started to eat right because my stomach wasnt goin to disappear without it. ive lost about 7 pounds…my question…is this normal arent you suppose to gain weight when you start to eat right or gain muscle??

Yes, if your goal is to gain muscle you will put on weight.

But you have to eat enough to put that weight on, otherwise you’re wasting your time.

There are tons of articles on this site, check out the beginners thread.

What do your diet/training/stats/goals look like?

well if you just started and didn’t change your diet; then your activity increased and your keeping the normal amount of calories that have sustained you at your previous weight for X many years. so yeah its normal to lose some weight. get it?

More work + same or less k/cal intake = loss of weight.

Simple as that if your doing resistance training or no. If you want to gain you have to eat to gain and vise versa.
