Must remember that one!

“Yeah, I was going for a 600 lb squat the other day but got bored”
So was I? Yup. I got bored too!!!

Good for her. And I know that boyz like looking at tits so no need to apologize 'round here.

BTW, I am movie-illiterate (can’t pay attention to a fake story for that long). What is the Charles Bronson reference?
Charles = bad actor that killed people. Like Dirty Harry (Clint Eastwood) without the humour.

But, today I believe I’m feeling more Al Pacino-ish than Bronson-like.

Well, then. I’d say after watching that vid that your mood hasn’t improved from yesterday.

Pretty and smart. No wonder you are so popular at the school dances

Working through a plan. I hope all parties sign off.

Back day
Supposed to do deads today. Wasn’t into it so just did some back stuff. Is that a deload? I guess so.

One-arm DB rows
50 x 10
60 x 8
85 x 5
110 x 20…grip gave out at this point on right arm. Left arm grip gave out around 12 and I had to do a couple quick resets to get to 20. Out of curiousity, I’m going to start with left arm next time and see if my left is actually weaker or if there is some sort of nervous system thing going on. Oh no! My CNS is fried!!!

BB rows
205 x 5 x 5

Pulldowns
4 sets

15 minutes on bike

And I listened to this song 4 times in a row at irresponsible volume levels. Pleasant on the surface, sinister underneath.

^HA! I thought of you when I turned this up this morning. Thought it might get you past your sticking points & your sand weights. It def. woke me up this morning. Enjoy.

Hi Snap.

EDIT- Hope the plan is a success.

I actually have this record and it definitely sounds good turned up! Great minds and all that.

And…thanks.

I’m patiently waiting.

That’s a lie. I’m very impatient.

any training going on in here?

OK, OK little miss sassy-pants. And getting sassier by the day, I might add.

Lately I’ve been screwing around with 5/3/1 as 3/5/1 plus singles. I’ve concluded that doesn’t work for me. I don’t ever do a planned deload (life usually takes care of that) so it is better if I do week 3 heavy and then do higher reps (5s) the next. And I’m “testing” too often and not getting reps in. I’ll be going for max reps on the money set instead of saving energy for singles.

So, back to vanilla 5/3/1 for now. I’m also going to repeat cycle 7 just to get back in the groove.

Cycle 7, week 1 (5s)
OHP
110 x 5
125 x 5
140 x 3…meh. I’ve done more reps with more weight, sigh.

115 x 10, x 10, x 10

One-arm DB press
75 x 3,3,3

External rotation work
3 sets

And, Print and Kimba, the plan discussion was a success and today is a much better day.

I also suffer from Reinventing the wheel syndrome. Redoing the cycle will set you right.

we all suffer from that problem

Were your one-arm DB presses one side at a time with no weight in the other hand? I tried that yesterday with just a 20 and found it surprisingly difficult.

And, I’m happy for you that things are going better. Life is way too short for unhappiness.

Yeah, those are them.

Good for you bro. A piece of mind is worth its weight in gold. Wouldn’t you say?

Hope this is the start of the upswing you been working hard on.

Kimba, yes, life is short. I learned last week that a cousin has been diagnosed with a rare lymphoma usually seen in men in their 60s. He does more right than wrong health-wise and is one of those people that everyone likes. They are removing his bone marrow in two weeks and his first chemo is 8 goddamn hours. His kids are the same fucking age as mine. He is one year older than me. Median survival is 6 years. Fuck.

Print, if I had one wish internal peace would probably be it. It seems more elusive sometimes than it should be. I need to get better at making that happen.

Cycle 7, Week 1 (5s)
Deads conventional
275 x 5
325 x 5
375 x 7…(vid) Probably had a couple more but my peanut butter sandwich (hadn’t planned on training) was not sitting well.

Rack Pulls - can’t remember the last time I did these. Below knee but probably should be a notch lower.
225 x 2
315 x 2
405 x 2
425 x 1, 1 (vid)

Chins (for Snapper)
10…camera out of memory. Shit. Have to do them again.
10 (vid)…harder than it should have been.

Sorry to hear about that man, I hope he gets the best care possible.

Thanks Joe. So far, spirits are still pretty good and the care is high quality. But they told him flat out that it manageable but not curable.
His little guy (the more sensitive of the two) was asking a lot of questions so I hope he rolls with it OK.
