Darn. And I was trying so hard to cultivate a party-girl reputation.

OK, maybe not.

Needed my fill of stripper and boozing talk. Completed. Thanks.

Cycle 5, Wk 2
PITFF = holy crap I’m tired. Worst sleep ever.
Bench

175 x 3
200 x 5…rep PR up from 200 x 4. I had 1 or 2 more reps but no spotter so played it safe.
185 x 5,5,5,5,5…first time getting a clean 5x5 with this.
135 x 10

Incline Smith
4 sets ramped up to 1pps + 35 x 3
1pps x 10

OH rope extension
3 x 8-10

Rope curls
3 x 10

Some calves just to get some blood flowing…still sore from my 100 rep set a few days ago

Sometimes its amazing how well we can do in the gym with the crappy sleep thing going on. Looks like you had a great day despite it all.

I see a PR in there. good work Git.

Congrats on the pr. You do not have a cage to work in, so maybe you can try and push ou the extra reps?

It’s true. Once I get moving and the adrenalin takes over it’s fine. It’s the ‘getting moving’ part that sucks.

Thanks fair maiden.

Unfortunately no cage at my usual gym. But you did give me an idea to use the squat rack with the safety bars if there is no competent spotters around.

I’m really looking forward to getting this rack, or similar, for the house.

Congrats on the PR, now go buy the rack to celebrate.

I’d really like to hear your impressions of the R3 rack when you get it, at my gym there are never any competent spotters, without the cage I don’t think I could squat or bench safely.

PS. I just noticed after looking at this cage for the fiftieth time it has band pegs on the bottom, how cool is that

The band pegs are definitely cool. I almost bought some bands last week but I’ll wait. Dip bars would be nice feature which i don’t see as an option.

Now that is the sort of new rack that I’d pay for.

Is that rack designed to be bolted to the floor? Because my freestanding one has much bigger “feet”. It doesn’t look that stable otherwise.

Just from looking at the picture it appear that there are small plates at the bottom of each leg that could be used for a bolt, but I agree that it seems like you’d really want to be sure to do that.

How much is this rack, and where are you going to be ordering it from?

I would be bolting it to a platform made from plywood. There are racks with bigger bases that don’t necessarily need to be bolted down.
