Long Term Natural Training and Size Loss

Ok folks im curious, i personally believe that if you dont have a good natural base then you wont maintain muscle ive lifted pretty consistently for about 20yrs give or take ,personally i did take 8 months off lifting (at the advice of a pre historic)physiotherapist and only lost about 3kgs(6.6lbs) now,i understand muscle memory, but you see these massive pro guys go off the gear and look almost untrained!!!

i saw garry strydom in the gym about 19 years ago and he was massive then i saw pics of him later (about 7yrs)later and he didnt even looked like he trained! ive seen it with quite a few bb chris cormier had alot of pics were he looked very average, flex these days in clothes doesnt look that imposing and ive seen pictures of bob paris that make me think he was in a concentration camp.

ok ill get to the point allready, sheesh!! do physiques that dont put in the years naturally just deteriorate when untrained or unroided.i believe that natural muscle mmass will be maintained without effort providing one has a base.im curious to see how others percieve this

One person I know takes 6 months off roids and wieght lifting and he looks big and cut year round.

Alot of these guys get caught up in other stuff. Plus don’t eat as much. It takes quite a bit of food to maintain 300lbs of muscle, compared to 200lbs plus bodyfat. Even with roids half these guys would not be 300lbs if they didn’t lift crazy and eat crazy plus protein shakes.

Once your out of the game if you don’t care stop eating protein shakes, your eating half the calories your going to shrink. Top that with drinking every night, and god knows what else while just doing your computer job Yes you will shrink.

i agree. well if you get the muscles naturally then they are bound to stay on a lot longer than if you had to use gear to help you get them. it’s just logical. Although the natural way will get there a lot slower than the other way. I prefer the natural way if you ask me.
