London Bombing

The terrorists are telling you they’re bombing you because you’re opressing them

Stop opressing them & they’ll stop bombing you

You have it all wrong. We didn’t “provoke them” prior to their attacking our country. That didn’t seem to help much

[/quote]

Then why do they hate the US so much? The whole Big Satan, flag burning stuff? Oh, I forgot, because of your freedom and democracy.

Scandinavian countries, free democracies that they are, do not seem to induce such a high level of aggression. Why is that? I have yet to see a swedish flag burning.

I have been watching the telly and my opinion is that we need a primary policy of kindness towards Islam on one hand (so that there is no reason or cause for terrorism lowering the militant pool)and firmness on the other. The only answer for Islam is co-existence or complete destruction.

And as for the london bombings. They were horrific, but who didn’t see this coming?

The WTC was bombed because of US presence in the middle east. Britain’s first move in response to the attacks is to create their own presence in the middle east. Now, when their actions are met with the same response that they should have expected, they’re surprised.

If Tony Blair’s goal was to protect his country from terrorists, then recreating the scenario that illicited the first terror attacks, except in Britain this time, is the LAST thing he should be doing.

Appeasement won’t solve the problem, but trying to fight terroism with armies won’t either. Unfortunately the two men at the centre of this conflict right now are two of the least creative leaders either nation has seen in the last 100 years.

Actually, in public statements, Bin Laden has mentioned our decadent lifestyle, failure to embrace Islam and submit to it, and our audacity to set foot upon Saudi Arabia and other areas he has deemed to be off limits to the Infidel. He also specifically mentioned our support of Israel.

To be simplistic we have been told to bend our foriegn policy to the whim of a terrorist, become Muslim and live a fundamental lifestlye, in accordance with the will of God as interpeted by a fundamentalist killer. Then he will stop bombing us.

That is why people with common sense don’t negotiate with terrorists. We advocate killing them. Not all Arabs, Muslims or people in the third world…just the killers who wish us harm.

I think there are many factors involved. Some of which we can control, some we can’t.

We are the leader of the free world. There is no other country on earth with as much military and economic power as the USA!

I think some of the muslim militants see this as being dangerous. Peronally, I think it’s root in jealousy. When you have something that your neighbor does not have, well it makes for tension. Especially when they have so little.

Some would call this simplistic, but I don’t think so. Where is it written that every problem which we encounter as a nation has to be complex?

Unlike “Denmark” or “Canada” when you are the leader of the free world you have many issues to contend with…

I would get into this further however my wife and kids are standing in front me wanting to go to the Mall…

Don’t worry in the end we will win

Bye

Please list our opressions against the the Islamofacist/islamic Jihadist.

Please. I want to know what I’ve done. Did I fly a plane into any of their occupied office buildings? Attack their subway systems full of innocent commuters? Please, oh wise and knowing Killa, tell us what we’ve done to the poor, defensless Islamofacist that is ow seeking nuclear technologies to further his Holy War against us - the Great Satan.

Ironhead, you have showed your ass time and time again with your irrational diatribes.

You act like you have a a pass to the war room in the Whitehouse with all of your claims of knowing just exactly what’s going on with the administration and the war.

What does Bush come visit you and share strategy when he’s in Texas?

You are a hypocrite of the highest order and have the emotional maturity of a ten yr old, that’s actually a stretch.

I have said it before and I will say it again, if your belief and support of this war is 100% genuine, then get your ass to a recruiting station and go put your RAGE into action where it can do some good. When you are in Iraq killing people you can imagine they are every Bush hating liberal Vroom, Elk, ProfX, you can think of. But, again, going is the ultimate show of support you can give.

My belief as a man is if you are for it be willing to go all the damned way! Put up or shut up! If you aren’t willing to offer your life for something you run off at the mouth so much about then you can shut the fuck up!!!

You have no room to be talking shit to anyone, and I mean anyone and calling them any kind of coward or weakling.

And, that goes for the dumb ass cheerleading jerffy as well. I don’t give a rat’s ass if you are a cop, but to be honest the maturity level you show makes any of your claims suspect!

Over 1700 American lives, billions of dollars, untold Iraqi lives, the best terrorist training facility in the world, and no positive end in sight!

And, NO ironhead, that’s not being un American it’s using ones dammned head and looking at things for what they are!!!

You say I’m angry your damned right I’m angry about this… it pisses me off when privilieged assholes start wars where thousands suffer for their lust!

So, any time ironhead you wanna sling shit at me bring it the fuck on!!!

Oh, that’s odd. As soon as hedo writes this, Killa Cam walks away. Hmmmm…

You guys that want to blame America for what happened are wrong. From the very beginning it has been muslims who are the aggressor.

If America didn’t have military bases anywhere in the world and had no navy muslims would attack.

Poor little fella. So angry.

Hey, e-hater, what do you think about cops that support this war and are in the United States?

Wow elkie -

You have quite a bit of rage built up. Still that doesn’t deter you from making shit up about me and then going on a rant.

Do me just this one favor - try going on your rants without making me the scapegoat for your rage.

GDub was over Thursday. We had some ribeyes on the grill, some baked potatos (Jana and I didn’t, but George and Laura are partial to a good baker) and a really nice spinach salad. We did talk about our military strategies in the middle east, now that you mention it. I can’t go into any details because I promised laura that no matter how many bourbon and waters W had, I would not say anything about what he talked about when he got little tipsy.

BUT - If he does what I told him to do, Syria needs to find a new place to call home. But we’ll see. Like I said there was a lot of Bourbon flowing, and everybody talks tough when they’ve had 4 or 5 drinks.

I wondered how long you would hold your tongue before it became too much and you had to go back to your old, old, old, lame argument.

But here we have it. “If you ain’t over there fighting then shut the fuck up”. That may very well be your belief, but honestly it’s all fucked up. I can’t go over there - believe it or not I tried. I’m to old. Even with prior service thrown in, I’m too old to be accepted into the military.

So those of us that support the war - hell those of us who vocally support our country - should just sit in the corner and shut up if we’re not wearing GI BDU’s. I tell you what - when all of the anti-war peacenik loving america haters out there will do the same thing, I’m all in.

But as long as they are exercising their 1st Amendment right to trash America and call the military baby killers, you’re gonna be shit out of luck getting me to be quiet.

As for “bringing it on” - Thanks for your permission ‘allowing’ me to do what I’ve been doing since I’ve joined T-Nation.

Word of advice: emotion filled rants on internet forums make you look like a douche, as opposed to using logical arguments.

Well, Rainjack, I think that is partially the problem. Nobody actually wants to have to think. The media or the government feeds them their opinions and they march in lockstep as if that is what they need to do to be good little patriots.

Everybody wants to be a patriot right?

Anyway, the problems in the world today, opposed ideologies, is not going to be solved by a little bit of killing. It isn’t making anything go away. You kill them. They get mad. They kill us. We get mad. We kill them.

Okay, maybe it will take another five or ten years before this pattern becomes visible to the die-hard kill the bad guys mindset. Maybe it will never become visible. Who can say?

However, thinking about it, realizing the problem at hand, is not going to make things worse. It doesn’t make you a peacenik to look into the issue deeply, consider the rights and wrongs that can be ascribed to either side.

If you’d rather simply cheerlead and wish death on some media defined enemy that hates you “because you are free” and go around the world storming into shithole country after shithole country, knock yourself out.

You’ll spend billions, bankrupt your country financially and morally, and end up with millions of people hating you. At that point you can simply nuke most of the planet and have the US as the only inhabitable place in the world… but you should be mostly safe at that point.

Wow, sounds like a plan. Does anyone have the number to the White House, I think I have a solution for Bush to try out.

vroom:

I think that your post makes good sense for the most part. No one ever can get hurt contemplating a problem. However, you offer no solution.

Thinking about something is good…it’s very good. But, what happens when crazy people fly planes into buildings and kill 3000 people?

What were we supposed to do, talk to them about it?

What would be your solution regarding the terrorist threat which we are currently under?

I think you and elk have conspired together to throw a monkey wrench in this thread. Either that or you just have a comprehension problem of biblical proportions. The ideas have been discussed, and debated, and discussed. My point was - now PLEASE reas this slowly - that we don’t need to rehash it yet agian because you think it’s time to. Do you understand? Whatever thought provoking drivel you want to add to it is fine, but please - we have discussed these ideas at length before you came up with the idea.

I’m not so sure what that word means anymore since it has been co-opted by the ABB crowd to pat themselves on the back for hating America/Bush. I am patriotic, but that does not make me a patriot.

They killed us first, dumbass. Sarting in 1979 - they have been taking hostages and strapping bombs to teenaged girls, and flying planes into buildings. We are finally fighting back after 25 years of going to the UN and turning the other cheek. So save your baby killer speech for someone else.
