Cool little gym hack to make your life easier when loading/unloading your bar.
Yes, I know you can also use a small change plate to prop up the weight, however when I made this piece of content I didn’t have a small plate within arms reach, so just used my belt.
Just wanted to share and I hope some of you give it a try!
@Tanner_Shuck you gotta hit em with the deloading hack.
Use the belt (or a 2.5lb plate) on one side to strip all those weights off, then lift the empty side straight up so you just pull the bar out of the other plates when vertical.
The dumbfounded looks of amazement I’ve gotten after doing this has been consistent with gym newbies over the years.
I’ve trained in probably 20 different gyms ranging from New England, to North Carolina to Florida and more recently in California. I’ve never once seen 110lb plates.
100lb heiffers on occasion, sure - but they are the same diameter as the 45’s I’ve commonly seen.
