Littlelee Lifting And Sleeping Log

So Jealous! I have not managed to do an unassisted pull-up yet. I also haven’t put forth the effort to make it happen either. New goal maybe. Anyway, great job!

@The_Myth - thanks for the info…doubt it’s my cardio health, lord knows I never do cardio. Hopefully it’s bf reduction. I prefer mass over vascularity. I might also be seeing more veins cause I am pale as snow!

@jamie1888 - pull up’s are definitely all practice…never been able to do more then 5, but they are def something you just need to keep at. @anon71262119 had great suggestions for me when I wanted to get back to them unassisted.

5 hour nap. Night shift here I come

Oh, I’m so glad they’re coming along for you!

Yes. This is my experience. It seemed like I had to fight for each one, but they did move with my other upper body lifts.

That was a nice one  I too do napping before night shifts, but I can only manage about 1 hour 1½ if it really going well.

I would not be capable of staying up all night on 1.5 hours sleep! That’s crazy! How long do you sleep when your night shift is done?

I’m old and can’t sleep anymore so i nap from 8ish and 1 - 1½ hour, night shift from 10 - 6 o’clock hit the sack at about 7, wake up first time at about 10, second time 11 and by 12 I’m really pissed at myself for not being able to sleep. As the shifts go by, I get really annoying and grumpy, so the family avoids me
Luckily I don’t have many night shifts anymore.
When I was younger, under 40-45, I had no trouble whatsoever to sleep from 7 to 4

That sounds really really awful!! Honestly, that little amount of sleep would be like torture to me. I don’t know how you do it! I know many nurses who do the same thing (short naps), and only sleep 4 hours between night shifts. I don’t understand how they can focus or concentrate.

We can’t, we hope that the CNS takes over
For me it’s age related  I really don’t like night shifts any more.
Fortunately I’m in a department right know were we mostly work between 8 in the morning and midnight (not in one shift), some days, day job some days evening.
But I miss the old days in the patrolcar during nightshifts in the weekend so much fun (and not so much fun, there’s a lot of bad shit happening too).

Last 12 hours of 76 hours in 9 days…:I cannot wait for the night to be over.

Hubby had interview today, another Monday, another Wednesday. He should be working soon, he slays interviews!

Which means I don’t have to work these excruitating hours for much longer.

I am tired, bloated, moody. Hope this night goes by quick.

Hope everyone is killing their workouts and goals!

Thank you @losthog very kind of you to say.

I have to say that positive thinking, and intentionally not stressing about this situation has made such a huge difference in lowering my stress by not focusing on the negative during this problem. It makes such a difference…
You are what you think!

Haven’t trained.

Work. Mothers Day. Birthday. More work.

Day off- diarrhea.

Hoping I am better tomorrow. 2 days of training, then back into 3-12 hour shifts.

Picked up so many shifts in coming weeks, training will be limited. If anyone cares.

Crazy stuff, shift work sticks with you for ages too, I did shift work driving trucks and buses while studying and it messed with me badly.
Well done for getting through it all.

I agree. Shift work is very hard, if my shifts were more consistent I might have an easier time, but they are not. Not sure if I am coming or going most of the time. Nights, days, evenings, blah!

And, the worst thing? Is working this hard and then having $900 of your pay gone with taxes!!

Good workout, but was thinking wtf when some trainer came over and started offering me hints on bb rows…then tried to sell me shit…stupid commercial gyms. My “fuck off face” did not work apparently, or my sighing during his spiel…

Getting a cheapie pedicure right now, decided to treat myself and have some “me” time! With my hubby off work I desperately miss my alone time…I need A LOT of it, and haven’t had any☹️

When pedi done gonna garden and finally clean my car!!!
