Just have to say to Mrs. S…your transformation is one of the most inspirational things I have seen. You can accomplish anything!

Thank you so much. Although a lot of the credit goes to Skip - without him I wouldn’t be doing any of this. He has encouraged me, supported me and believed in me. (nagged me too, but that’s okay, he’s cute anyway)
DJHT - yay for formerly fat! Strong beats fat any day of the week.
Shoulders
Still playing with the MPs. It is interesting, and annoying, to see the waxing and waning of my strength. But, it is what it is.

Hit the pool right afterwards. Hot weather. It has been over 100 degrees for 10 or 11 days out of the past 2 weeks. Great for yard work!
I think MrsS is posting later.

x3 the same fo r me.
speaking of nagging… Someone has asked me now 3 times if I’ve posted my workout yet. It’s a very good thing he’s cute!!
Yesterday was deads. I hadn’t done the 5x5 in 2 weeks on this, so I was a little nervous going in.
Deadlift
135x5
165x5
195x5
210x5x5
I was impressed, nothing felt quite as heavy as I thought it was going to, until the last 2 sets of deads. Those were heavy.
Leg Extensions
55x10x4
Goblet Squats
35x10x4
Still practicing going super slow on these, to help with my regular squats.
All in all, a pretty productive workout!

Hmph. Whenever I nag my wife, she calls me a dick!!! Then she brags about me behind my back. Apparently my head swells up when she talks nice about me!!!

Looking good Mrs S.
Awesome work on the deads Lady Strick ! That is a fair amount of volume to boot!! And as others have said incredible transformation…well done…
Big Man- did I miss the singlet pics? (haha)
No sir, OG. There were none, and will be no, singlet pics…lol.

Damn these felt heavy, evn though I did a full dead with them a couple of months back. I will chalk it up to fatigue. I did want to feel a heavier weight, though, to prime myself to move up soon.
MrsS’ workout
MrsS was not having a good day. Besides having a low, persistent stomach thingy going on, she was having a near migraine headache. She did tough out her ME, though.
MP
barx5
60x5
75x5

85x1 - PR +5#
90x0
We called it there. 90# was not going, but it did get up to the top of her head. If she could develop some explosiveness, she would be pushing 100# before summer is out.
Deadlifting 5x5x210? MrsS is rocking it.
I am noticing a lifting trend in Stricklandville…not feeling good=PR’s…Nice work Lady Strick

Hello?

I’m a bit worried they might have injured themselves attempting a 1000 lb “tandem” deadlift!
^LOLZ!
Ah, dont worry about the Stricks, they are just out shopping for the “perfect” color singlet for the Big Man!!

Found one for the Big guy.
Where are you guys?
Bulldog - that is one REALLY disturbing pic! I can’t believe that you have forever marred my log with that. Even the fairy singlet, in the earlier pics was not quite so disturbing.
Brett - no 1000# deadlift…unfortunately.
OG - Singlet? Me? ha ha ha ha ha
Thanks dday.
Snap - we are still here. Just busy, busy, busy…
We are still hitting the iron. Although, we have swapped up what we were doing a bit. MrsS, pointing out that she does not yet have the perfect ass, and experiencing some body pains, caused by a combo of lifting heavy and some non-lifting issues. She has gone more to an 8 rep/set workout. I have her doing bench, MP, lat pulls and rows every other workout. She swaps the primary of each (press/back), workout to workout. One workout bench and lat pulls are the MEs, next workout MP and rows. The other two serve as accessory.
Leg days alternate between squats and deads. Goblet Squats, lunges and hip thrusts (or whatever you call them) are the rotating accessories. I am thinking of adding in zerchers.
For my part, I am not going over 225# on MP, to save the shoulder and all bench is being done the same grip width as MP. I am mainly in cruise, right now, but trying to keep enough weight on the bar to hold or increase, a bit, my strength. At the same time, I am upping volume, slightly. Need thicker shoulders!
Oh! And lunges suck!! I tried them, for the first time. I only got up to 50# DBs. I hurt for 5 days!
