Nah. I refuse to be seen in public in one of those leotard things.
Thanks everyone!
How about Mr Strict in one? Now that would be interesting.

Uh…it’s a “singlet”. So labelled because, if you are not married prior to being seen in one, you will remain single. Hell, even if you are married, you might end up single.
I promise not to divorce you if you ever wear one. I reserve the right to mock, tease, laugh and post incriminating photos, but I will not divorce you.

There’s plenty of much worse looking people out there in singlets. If you ever get the urge to compete, I highly recommend it. My guy and I both compete and coach each other. You have to know that’s the next step right???
Shhhhh. Don’t give him any ideas! Actually I really don’t have any interest in competing. I won’t say never, because 6 months ago that’s what I would have said about lifting at all, and we can see how that’s turned out
but I’ll be very surprised if I ever decide to do it.

If I ever get him in one I will post pics here so you can all join me in the mocking-teasing-laughing.
Make sure it is gold and squin encrusted with ‘lil strick’ picked out in red bling.
My wife likes to mock my singlet every chance she gets.

Maybe stop wearing it while you mow the grass?

Or to bed, well maybe the wife may like that. ![]()
love this thread! Mrs S WOWZA incredible. Brought tears to my eyes to see your transformation.
My mother died from obesity(or complications from it i should say) and i would give anything to have her back. Thankfully your husband and kids (adorable by the way) will have a healthy happy mom.
congrats!

I am so sorry about your mother. Health was the biggest reason I decided to have the surgery. I didn’t have any issues yet, but I knew that I would. I didn’t want to be in a wheelchair before I was 40 because my knees couldn’t support me anymore, to be short of breath from walking across a room, or anything even more serious. And thank you for the support, and the compliments on the kids. I think they are pretty darn cute myself.
A fantastic achievement Mrs S and great progress on the 5x5. It’s cool that you love squats too, I can relate to that.
Is there such a thing as husband and wife powerlifting comps? You two would do very well I think.

Come on!!! Are you saying you could not pull off the look above?

LOL! Oh yes please. I’d have blackmail fodder for the rest of my life if I got a picture of Skip in that pretty little purple number!

I don’t even want to know where you got that pic!
I doubt that I could pull it off, though. Body hair aside, I am a tad thicker than this guy. Besides, it would probably end up looking like a thong.
HA! Take that visual! That’ll teach you to pick at me…lol.
Brett, that would be cool! I hav never heard of such, though. As I am getting older, though, maybe she and I can both place in one, one day.
Workout in reverse
MrsS and I both had to bench today. Since I am dinking around with my bench, I deferred to her and let her go first.
Which means that I did my workout in reverse order. It was okay, except that my arms were tight and fatigued by the time that I got to the last set of bench.
Lat Pulls - wide neutral
100x15
160x15
210x10x3
Seated Rows - wide neutral
210x10x4
CGB - I am going to use my MP grip on my CGB from now on. Pinkies 1/2" inside the rings.
barx20
95x10
135x10
185x5
225x5
255x5
285x5
315x1 - tight and out of gas
That be it.
i am assuming that MrsS will get around to posting hers.
Sorry for not keeping up on everyone’s log. Work has been a bitch and home life busy. I will get back to them.

Bike shorts and a t-shirt are OK in some federations. I wear a t-shirt under my singlet and it doesn’t look to bad. I’d just hate to see someone with some powerlifting ability never compete.
Brett, there used to be an event in bodybuilding called Mixed Pairs, a guy and gal pose together. Would be fun to see something like that in powerlifting.

GOD!!! Strick, please! I just ate!!!
lol Cav!
My workout last night annoyed me. I guess I was having an off night, because I went backwards on bench. Grrr.
Bench
barx8
65x5
85x3
105x4
105x3x2
95x5x2 - last bench day I did better than this. So I was very irritated.
SR wide grip
90x8x2
100x8x2 (this was an increase of 10#)
Lat Pulls
100x8x3 (also upped 10#)
I’m sure the problem last night was the fact that Skip wasn’t wearing that sparkly red singlet. I’ll have to rush order it before next workout.
Little late to the party but gotta say MrsS DAAAAAAMMMMNNNN!!! What an awesome transformation. Strick family FTW!
