The managers at your gym are completely irrational when it comes to serious lifting and all they care about is catering to the general public that don’t train seriously. The bottom line is making money and just like all the Barney gyms(Planet Fitness etc.) the true lifter is not appreciated or tolerated. They claim no judgement but all they do is judge. Sorry to hear about your ordeal. Hope you will find better iron to lift. Stay strong.
Thanks Brother. Its one manager in particular that it seems no one likes, staff included. Where there is a will there is a way, Ill get it in
50lb bars at my new gym. Very thick too, I have been told that there are 2 thinner DL bars that I have yet to see. The new gym has a pseudo xfit area, no bumbper plates but KBs, Rings, TRX, Ropes also a prowler and a sled. For the life of me I do not know where to use it, I’m gonna ask on Thursday.
Training went like so.
SGHP - Worked up to 230x3x3
Hang Cleans - 140x2x5 160x2x5
Floor Press Paused - up to 210x5 (SS with Face pulls 4x15)
Trap Bar OH Press - 100x2x20 140x10 I like the neutral grip aspect of this as well as having to balance the weight, has a bit of a Javelin Press feel to it, with more weight.
I once tried out the Fatness for a month and couldn’t stand it. I also couldn’t take lifting to bubble gum music and all the tards running around acting like they were big or strong…give me a break. LA Fatness is mostly for pretenders and it’s a meat market. Sure there are some people there who take their program seriously but it’s not my kind of environment. Good to see you have heavy equipment.

I agree with all of this, but in years past I never had a problem, they left me alone, people rarely used the power rack so it was the best I could do.

Good deal Matty, like the fat bars, like the OH press with the trap bar . I have never tried them but it would be good I think.
Now, that’s dedication! Neither rain nor snow nor getting kicked out…LOLLL!
You must’ve started wearing long sleeves or something for that manager dude to start messing with you.

Lol, PG it was basically strength in numbers. It really was a blessing in disguise. My sessions have been quicker, I have more room and equipment and ultimately it was bound to happen anyway
