I am surprised by the ambiance in this prison. Very different from Oz or any kind of documentary!

Thats pretty awesome. Pretty impressive stuff happening in that weight room.
Anyone remember the names of those two articles on here about lifting in prison?

Excellent vid. Thanks for putting it up. I like the comments on there about the lifters not being the problem, the skinny guys are. Says something about he rehabilitative effects of a positive experience like lifting. The weight room coach was even saying that the lifters have much less racial problems too due to the comradery forged in the weight room.
It’s sad to think about the talent and the professional potential some of those guys had. Good shit though. I’d gladly pay a hefty membership fee for that kind of intensity at my gym.
please tell me they got the deadlift video
It sure beats all the other documentaries that mostly talk about inmates throwing feces at guards etc.
Makes you wanna go to prison. I got an idea. Everyone murder somebody and then we all can go to prison. Just imagine the PRs we’ll get while in the joint.
You guys with me?
I wonder if these guys are on a special meal plan or something… No pencil necks in the whole crow. It takes MUCH more than 3 squar meals a day to get to squat 450+.
I would LOVE to workout in that kind of an atmosphere. Everyone rooting for you, encouraging you, and screaming. I imagine that would have a profound effect on your training.

Many of them probably get hooked up in the cafeteria by working/knowing people in the kitchen. Also, it wouldn’t surprise me if some were on something. Many drugs are smuggled into prisons everywhere, so it wouldn’t be too difficult to bring in some d-bol or other orals.
And a good training environment is the most important thing when it comes to getting strong.
