HA that reminds me of something I read on another forum, a guy asking why boxers seem so cocky sometimes. Another guy replied “Have you ever put someone to sleep with one hand? It feels good” lol
Haha this is true… knowing you can fight definitely gives you a little more old-school swagger… and it’s not the empty sort of bluster that guys who just lift sometimes get.

Smart people know and wisely keep to their territory in mutual respect. Dumb fucks know after they get pounded lol.
Nothing in the world is like throwing a quick jab from the hip and sending someone into space. People generally have to wind up like crazy before they can get a solid one in. Someone who knows how to punch can end things devastatingly fast and put fear into the very core of other would be assailants standing by.
I’ve been doing a little cardio on the bag at the gym. It’s 100kg and strung high with no chain or cable. Heavy as a motherfucker so the bottom is at chest height… makes the bag feel like a brick wall but boy does it improve punching power. When they hear the thuds of someone who can punch in the gym, the gym suddenly goes silent lol

That is the truth. I like to slip in a wrist shot and watch guys start looking around. A lot of the younger fighters will be like what the hell is he throwing over there. Don’t let them see what your doing and then say all right who’s ready to do a little sparing. You get a lot of blank looks. LOL

I think people worry too much about making things so scientific and planned. Guys, if you’re not competing, boxing is hell fun, beats walking on a treadmill for cardio and pay enough attention and apply yourself and you can actually develop some decent defense and offense skills above the Average Joe. In the end, I don’t think a serious sensible man on this earth will cry too much for losing a little size but gaining a crap load more fitness, real world fitness and also putting a little more bounce in their step with increased confidence in knowing they can throw a punch or two… Properly.
What I am saying is don’t stress about the trivial things, get into it, give it a crack, see how your body responds and what it needs to be able to maintain your own personalised balance. I’m 36 years of age, torn apart from pushing myself but even with all my injuries I will out run, out fight, out lift and have more energy in the sack than kids half my age… Lol. Have fun with it. Enjoy yourself.
AMEN

couldn’t agree more, any sports is fun if you’re with the right mindset.
Kaiser its kinda on a need to know basis and you don’t need to know. Absolutely no disrespect intended. I actually composed a PM for you explaining it and then deleted it. Lets just say its a illegal strike and leave it at that.
