Liar, Liar!!

great work! not natty? do you mean natty dread? jk…lol
Thanks.

Actually my best bench and squats sets were done at a heavier bodyweight with only the use of prohormones. The only prob was my fat bf%. The 33 pull ups were done with natty too at a lean 175~180.

Well, I do not squat full ROM right now (possibly never again) because of an injury. And because I have since learned from CT that some people are not built to squat ATG. I plan to consult a coach for advice in the near future, and I wish I had done previously rather than being determined to squat ATG because anything less was considered wimpy around here.

I also would like to know EXACTLY what one gets from squatting ATG versus to parallel versus partials. I assume that more fibers are recruited in the larger ROM. I’m guessing that the benefits vary with different body types (as CT stated). I’m also guessing that there might be diminishing returns with increasing ROM below parallel, but I’d be interested to hear experience to the contrary.

I’ve often read people advocating ATG, that anything less is pathetic, but I cannot remember anyone explaining WHY ATG is so much better.
a2g’s are respected because they are harder to do. Only speaking for myself, but I get better result with them. If someone can get great results with less that’s great too. a2g won’t work for everyone. That’s what I love about lifting, variety.

I love T-Nation but if you went by nothing but the posts on here and the critiques people have on each other you’d HAVE to assume the following:

HAS 20’ ARMS AND A BARREL CHEST
SQUATS OVER 350 FOR REPS
BENCHES OVER 315 FOR REPS
DOES MEGA CARDIO ALL THE TIME
IS CLEAN AND ALL NATURAL
HAS WOMEN CHASING THEM, RIGHT NOW
NEVER,EVER MADE A MISTAKE
CAN DO 20 PULL-UPS NON-STOP

I know it’s the net, but get real folks. Liar, Liar!
Also squatting 350 for reps isn’t that great of a goal, or a big deal. The squat point should be at least 500 for reps. This point will normally take most people to their upper limits, and they will have had to have 3-4 years of lifting experience, for the general population anyways.

LOL.

Most people will NEVER be able to squat 500lbs even if they lift for two decades. As seen on this forum often, it is rare for most of these guys to even look like they lift after 3-4 years.

Ain’t that the truth. I’m still relatively new at this. I just worked up to squatting 245 ATG for 8. It seems by the standard here at T-Nation that I’m a total pussy. By the standard set at my gym (not hardcore by any means) I’m some sort of mutant freak. I think that in reality I am somewhere between those two extremes.

That’s because T-Nation members train at top-secret elite underground gyms. They’re not hanging around in the local fatness center, where you’ll occasionally see someone bench a plate, maybe squat/dead TWO of 'em.

Of course, that’s after they down 324 supplements and perform 87 curl variations.

Everyone here’s a superstar with a ten foot dick, you didn’t realize this?

Not everyone can do or has these things, but most serious guys on this site have or can do some of them, myself included.
