It’s really overrated; it’s not a necessity at all.

hey guys just wanna clear up a few things. im one of kevins buisness partners along with doubler1964. i was the one spotting him on the bench. he has NOT trained in the past 4 years. he was eating 1 or 2 meals a day sometimes 3. like a normal person. he was not i a comma but…he has not touched a wt at all till monday. so yes 315 its pretty crazy. he had done a 475 at 185 lb when he first started training. NATURAL!!! he comes from a powerlifting background. he is unusually strong in all areas. this is an expariment to see what happens with the genetic eliete which i dont think anyone is going to say he is not right? and tain clean, and eat only foods. no protein powders…nothing. i know some will not believe it. but its 100% true. he has no reason to lie and nothing to prove. ifbb hall of famer, and THE most winning bber in history. nobody has even come close to that! this is a way for him to push himself and he is filming an action movie this summer which allows for him to hold the extra weight.

ive said it before…doubler and i are proud to be part of this project…and everyone will see how far genetics and hard work will take them.

you believe in santa too huh?
I don’t think it is necessarily unrealistic for him to do it without drugs. He did not specify 245 lb (or was it 244) in contest condition. For him to reach 245 in “action hero condition” without drugs is, I would guess, for him quite attainable.

when youre metabolism is jolted up and you need 400+ grams just to gain anything, yeh it definately helps.

No but its highly convenient I mean you can get 40 grams of protein in 1 scope and 2 glasses of milk vs eating a chicken breasts, tuna, steak etc especially when you don’t season them etc and just grill it and eat its.

I don’t know what seasoning has to do with anything, but yeah, it helps. I stopped using any supplement but creatine. I just use milk post-workout and then eat.

I’m not saying shakes aren’t useful throughout the day. They are, but still aren’t necessary at all. I’m saying you don’t need them post-workout; they’re overrated.

Lol when i say seasoning i mean like have ever tried eating steak/chicken after you put in the toaster oven or grill it? Its fucken bland and dry(usually but can be moist) and you eat some sauce with it and it still is really bland and takes forever to eat, At least for me I have to marinate my meat or season it so it has flavor else it takes me 30-1hour to eat 2 6-8 ounce chicken breasts.

Levrone always was one of the genetically gifted, couple that with his natural strength background (powerlifting at an early age), and even I’m curious to see just how much someone can regain after years off. It’s not like his body was used to being 10-15 lbs heavier, it was used to being probably 50-60 lbs heavier, and it acclimated to that over a course of years. It was probably more of a shock to keep his weight down to ‘normal’ levels than it was to keep it up around 250. If he pulls it off, it should be cool. I doubt there are too many folks out there who don’t know what a beast this guy was in his competitive prime.

Hey all, don’t think this one has been posted yet. Food poisoning stopping day 2 but a couple of nice lines in there.

He is a very charismatic individual, I like his videos.

It would be highly ironic is THIS is what puts him on the map (as far as making him more famous than just to the bodybuilding crowd) and not the approach he was taking before as far as acting.

I always hoped he would “pop” when he tried to go mainstream, it would be great if this is what did it. I don’t see why he couldn’t go a lot farther in Hollywood then Gunter has.

Hopefully this movie he is doing at the end of summer won’t be something that goes straight to DVD.

Slimthug, unless you can contribute to this thread don’t post again.

Back on topic.
Looks like Levrone is off to a good start. Here is a quote from his blog:

4 pounds gained in a few days. Hard to believe just from one workout and upping calories, and getting a 24-hour stomach thing. Itâ??s muscle memory, the calorie jump and a lot of rest. My system was empty when I stepped on the scale this morning so I believe my gain is lean.

Some more words from Levrone:

Iâ??m doing this steroid free. Iâ??m coming from a low weight and I havenâ??t trained with free weights in over four years. The muscle memory and the fact that Iâ??ll be ramping up my calories from 1,500 a day to 3,000 a day is why I believe Iâ??m able to do 5 lbs a week. Iâ??m going to do this safely and Iâ??ll be telling you what Iâ??m eating and what supplements I take, if any.

Hasn’t worked his legs in 4 years and can still leg press 14 plates for 10 reps. Geez

I posted this on another forum (not a hardcore BBing, more soft) and got a few of the “5lbs a week is impossible” crowd mouthing off. If he does achieve this I’m sure there will be the “steroids!” cries, and “its not true”.

I don’t get why people always have to dismiss someones goals and achievements, maybe its because they dont like to realise people out there are better than them

One of my favorite things about Levrone was that he didn’t flaunt his muscles in the gym. He was always really classy when it came to speaking and dressing.
Quadforce wrote:
Haha, marketing pitch, he will be selling a product on this later.
Well, he might not thought of doing so initially, but the interest in this seems greater than he originally anticipated.

If he can make a buck off of this somehow - why not?

Everyone deserves to earn a living, and he’s entertaining his fans and the curious.

Yep.

“Fake, Foul, Folly” has been the battle cry of the Insecure since the beginning of time.

Those who are saying that haven’t been around long enough to know what kind of a freak (sorry “miracle”) of nature Levrone is. Hell, this is probably the first time they lay their eyes on the man.

I agree.
