Few successful actors in the film industry, let alone television, have Arnold’s charisma. The ones that have charisma in that league make 8 figures per picture. The required standard for charisma simply to be in films and do well (if all else is in place) is not at that level: “somewhat charismatic” I think describes most film actors.
The fingerman video was really funny, esp when fingerman taking of his shirt and doing those Static Contractions ![]()
Anyway I heard from a guy in my gym that holding a weight of about 110% of 1RM for 30 sec on the benchpress would make you stronger temporarily. If that’s true maybe it could be good to do those static contractions before your topset in squat, or is that theory just bs??

Yeah, there was an article not long ago on supermax holds before heavy sets. But you do need to do some full range of motion reps too lol
I have noticed this before, but the leg w/o really highlighted it for me
Is it just me, or is Kevin not that strong as I expected?
I realise he has taken 4 years off, and his size for that amount of time off was fairly decent but his strength doesn’t seem to be on par [however I am noticing it is increasing rapidly]
285lb for 6 reps on squats whilst isn’t light, I just expected him to be hitting 3 plates at least or is he just being cautious? and it wasn’t to true failure?
I guess what I’m trying to say is - I just had this feeling he’d be a naturally strong guy as well as a naturally big guy.

Well he is getting on in age and he said in a previous video that his tendons are not ast strong right now as his muscles (due to not working out for four years). It seems to me that he’s being smart, because if you go from four years of not working out to squatting 405 at his age you’re asking for an injury, IMO.
Thus far his transformation seems to be pretty damn impressive though, I for one am not complaining that he isn’t hitting the same weights that he was in his prime. Give it time…

I had an extended layoff during a bad relationship.
I had approximately 1/4 to 1/3 my previous strength on resuming training on most things. And it sure wasn’t just a matter of weeks before getting it back again.
A few things were not cut back that badly. Quite a bit of variation actually. The two things I can remember not dropping so extremely severely were deadlifts and, oddly enough, wrist curls.
Levrone obviously didn’t drop to 1/4 or 1/3 on things like incline DB presses, but on other things he may have dropped a whole lot. He may be close to superhuman, but is not actually superhuman.

Who really cares if he’s making a supplement, or a line of supplements, or?
Who really cares if his marketing is as good as Mountain Dew, or Pepsi, or?
You don’t like what he’s doing, don’t watch it. Don’t read it.
You do like the videos, you do like the results he’s getting, then get the supplement(s).
I see no difference between what he is doing than Biotest with there Anaconda supplement that is in the works and please don’t tell me you didn’t bite the hook on THAT one. Look at how many people have lined up and posted after any thread that mentions it about needing it.
Sorry, I’m calling it the way I see it.[/quote]
I’m not biting and I don’t kiss Biotest’s ass.
Is it just me who noticed he said on his site “he doesn’t support any corporate agenda”? I take that to mean he is just taking whatever it is he’s taking with no intentions of starting a product line. He also keeps stating to the viewers that all you need to get big and strong is lift hard and eat clean.
It seems he is just trying to be nothing more than motivational to anyone watching, and presumably doesn’t want younger trainees to go out and buy NOXPLODE or whatever and think, “Hey, Levrone uses this stuff so I should too to get big like him.”
Whereas if you watch other training videos you always hear the bodybuilders plugging their sponsors, eg Victor Martinez constantly telling viewers of his training videos he uses Dark Rage etc.
Maybe I’m just naive and believe what the man says.
He says no OUTSIDE corporate agenda.
LOL @ the end of the pec dec video!! “uh oh…uh oh…” LOL

oh yeh, I’m not knocking him at all, he has made amazing progress thus far and always been a fave BB’er of mine.

I think I kinda was expecting superman =[ guess he is human like us

End of week 5
He hasn’t even done anything for traps yet, has he?

If he has, he hasn’t reported it on the blog.
Heres an interview with Levrone on Rx Muscle radio show.
Interview is from 44min-68min. Worth listening too if following his videos.
Love this radio show in general.

Agreed, its a great show. Dave and John work well together, the flow of conversation is really good.
the guy’s been working out for 5 weeks, give em a break for not squatting 315 for reps right off the bat.
