Yeah, that was hilarious.

For those that didn’t get it, you might be taking this stuff too seriously.

For realz.

The sad thing is that there are people who exist who actually believe all of those static holds mean they have accomplished something. You would think looking in the mirror would clue them in.

For the record, Levrone is good and playing the role. The guys on The Daily Show could take notes from him when they interview people. Waaaay too often they say things that are so off the wall the person they are interviewing has to know they are making fun of them…but I guess as proven here, most wouldn’t know they were joking.

WTF is this new video with this skinny douche? Can somebody please tell me how that affects your quads enough for it grows. I hope Kevin Levrone doesn’t start to do looney training methods or advertising them like Mentzer did in his later years.

Oh gawd i can’t even watch the whole video…

Happy someone else saw this too.

I dont think he was takin the p*ss out of him, but I dont think hes under any delusion that this will help his transformation.

He has written several comments on his blog defending the guy from criticism

I wouldn’t defend him from anything but outright insults. If that skinny dude wants to train that way, good for him. It is just surprising me how many people are acting like he is really about to start training using static holds from now on.

Like I wrote on his video, I will watch to see if he implements any of this into his lifting.

anyone else kinda wanna see him compete again? I think he could actually do well even at his age due to his natural ability and gifted genetics. Take a run at the O! COME ON KEVIN

wishful thinking

I’d rather see him succeed at what he is trying to do: being successful in acting roles. There’s a time to move on. When you’re in your 40s, as he is, it’s definitely about that time, or it’s never going to happen.

He already did several movies, but I never hear anyone talk about them or anything… Maybe his acting career didn’t develop the way he expected it to, and now he’s looking for a way out/alternative way to earn his living?

I’m pretty sure he is currently working on a movie…thus why he is adding muscle for it (as one reason for this). I could be wrong though.

You are right: he stated specifically at some point in this that he was doing this for an action hero role.

He does have a very good personality, and a good sense of humor. Hopefully he can follow in Arnold’s footsteps. Conan the Barbarian remake anyone? If only.

Haha that finger man stuff was funny. If there are seriously people who watch that and don’t realise its a joke, they need to get out more!
I’m starting to think kevin is doing a social experiment on the weight training community hahaha

“OK, pound for pound heâ??s stronger than me right now, certainly in terms of statics. I shouldnâ??t speak for everyone.” - Levrone

You can also hear the camera guy laughing at one point. Should give it away.

That clip was just weird.

If he did it just to poke fun at the guy then he’s being a cunt.

If he’s doing it to show ‘alternative’ types of training and he’s going to keep doing stuff like this for something different, fine, but that guy and that routine was weird as shit.

If I had to guess what factor got the thing started in the first place, my guess is that Levrone wasn’t too pleased at feeling he needed to keep his squats to 135 lb, as was the case in a recently-preceding workout.

He somehow ran into this guy, and it occurred to him that yeah, feeling 405 or 455 or something like this on the back may help me mentally be ready to start squatting those kinds of weights again.

And then did the entire video straight-faced and let the other guy make the best presentation of himself possible.

he said hes gonna do some static holds every month or so, so it wasnt a complete waste of time

p.s. I dont think he has the charisma of Arnold though
