Levrone is Back!

He gained 11 pounds in 3 weeks…not bad at all!

after not doing free weights for 4 years am surprised he can use as much weight as he can. (really what i mean is after 4 years and he can still use more weight than me LOL)

Why is it so Amazing the Weight he can put up? I mean the guy was HOOGE back in the day im sure was ALOT stronger then what he is now hes strength doesn’t Seem out of the ordinary who was pushing a shit load of heavier weights back in the day. You guys are weird that think that its “Amazing” im sure anybody who was pushing Heavy weights and stopped and came back 4 years later would still be able to do a decent amount. You guys act like he should be pushing 40lb DB’s around since he hasn’t trained for 4 years.

He said “A meal like this, 4 times a day is all you need”.

I’m surprised that comment escaped discussion here.

i tried but no one bit. He said he ate 1500 cals a day and would up it to 3000 for this training. I can’t see how that is possible… but him saying that all you need is 4 plates of chicken and green beens is along the same lines as 3000 cals, wonder if that is really what he eats a day.

Really impressed with how diplomatic and genuinely friendly he’s being throughout this process.

Enjoying the gym videos.

Levrone is a beast, but that video was pretty pointless.

However, you know you’re the man when you can film shit like that and have people sit through the whole damn thing.

Pointless, but really funny. I learned that he has good taste in music.[/quote]

Also now I know, if a dinner date is going badly, I can say, “Look what I found! Mustard!”

Btw, who’s singing the cover of “I do it for you”?

I would jizz my pants if I got to train with Levrone.

I know, Chris the spotter is a lucky guy. Im sure he got to talk to him off camera.

If Kevin was training in my gym it would be the most amazing thing ever!!!

I thought that was really interesting too.

Levrone has shown time and time again he is in a league of his own, and this just adds one more element to that. He diets up to shows. He used to take 6 months off after the olympia, lose a ton of weight, and then just build up bigger and better for the next one. And now he lets us know he will be eating as little as 1500 cals, and as many as 3000, a day to build up to 5 pounds of muscle a week…

It really is crazy that there is that much of a gap between his genetics and mine. I used to diet down on a 3,000 calorie diet, and he builds muscle at an amazing rates on it.

A pound of muscle really contains only, what, about 90 g of protein or less?

So, if feed efficiency were 100% (it never is, but if) then diversion of only 90 g of protein per day from being burned for calories or being used for repair would be enough for an added pound of muscle per day.

As for the calories, if the body is good enough at releasing fatty acids from the fat stores, then there’s plenty of energy available. The fact that the energy is not coming from the food is not inherently important.

So yes in theory, one can eat as little as he is and still gain at astounding rates. The amount of protein and calories would be inadequate for you or I to gain at such a rate, but I have never been mistaken for Kevin Levrone.

Ha, aint that the truth… Nor will I ever be. I agree that, in theory, the math works out… But seriously you have guys like Coleman et all eating 8000+ cals in the off season to gain weight, and Levrone is over there dieting UP to shows and eating 1500-3000 a day. Really incredible.

I wonder what he could do if he just went at it full bore like the other guys, or if that would even work for him.

They need to study genetics like this.
If he is using his fat stores then he is gaining even more because every lbs lost of fat is a lbs he needs to gain just to be even.

I really hope this doesn’t turn into a commercial and he says “ha! i did it and my secret was product X!!! I kept it secret in case it failed”

While I’m sure he has some kind of angle in all of this, that might be a bit of a stretch.

I think it will. If you noticed in one of his video he said he might need a little something extra, an edge. He said he would still be natural but will let us know what it is. Give it a few more weeks, and he will be marketing a product. He would be stupid not to!

Agree. He is giving out a tremendous amount of value for free right now. If he does turn this into a marketing pitch, I don’t think it’s out of line at all.
