Typically I’d agree with Ghost22. But last month I went through a tub of Cytogainer. It has lots of stuff in it, but it doesn’t have sugars which is totally different then the other 'gainers out there.
B rock, it may not have a lot of sugar, but it’s loaded in maltodextrin, which there are different grades of it out there. But I doubt they’re using the slower/better digesting kind.
I guess if there’s no other way you can the calories it can help, but making your own is better.
I’ve used it in the past, but since making my own haven’t used it.
laziness (it being quicker to scoop out PWO)
i was sick of adding food to my other meals in order to gain weight. sorta a last ditch effort in
my last month of gaining. haha
but yeah, as a staple…i would NOT suggest an OTC gainer.
I would tend to agree with Ghost22 as well, but I tried Cytogainer once several years ago and liked it. I took it preworkout only and it gave me a good amount of energy. I admit that I was just being lazy, but honestly I thought it was a pretty good product, especially if only used preworkout and I just went to the dining hall post workout (this was in college). I guess the way I was doing it then is kind of like what CT and others have been doing lately (using low carbs directly post workout).
@ jehovasfitness: I can’t comment on the quality of the malto they used, other than the ingredients made it sound like it was some facny sort of malto. I just checked and I was right about it sounding fancy (from the label) “CytoCarb IIâ?¢ (CytoSport’s unique combination of branching as well as long linear chain maltodextrins with very low ‘DE’ (Dextrose Equivalence) providing a complex carbohydrate source approximately 96.5% sugar-free)” Does this sound like the higher grade malto you were taking about?
uh okay… ya I’m trying to eat as much as I can. thanks for the comments. Ya I’d admit it’s a bit lazy but it gets the job done and I love the results… today wednesday is my day off. I had 2 scoops before work with the leucine… I’d like to discuss weight gainers compared to making your own but I’m just trying to record my wieght and improvement and post it from this product.
just about to go to work… you guys ever try nature valley oatmeal bars? Dip that shit in coffee and you can eat so many of them… takes the dryness out… anyways just had two scoops… will weigh at gym later and keep ya posted… doin back shoulders and bicep… oh ya and I didn’t mention I got the Biotest ZMA
okay. We had some bad weather here in Oklhoma and they closed the gym! The whole weekend every morning I took 2 to 3 scoops just trying to keep the creatine and what not in my system. Yesterday was the same. Today the gym should be open and I’ll weigh myself. I feel pretty good

I doubt the product contains a full dose of creatine, but even if it does it would likely be far less expensive and just as effective, if not more so, to just use pure Creatine monohydrate (like Biotest sells on the store here!).
You don’t need to report your weight on this thread since it’s relatively meaningless without knowing your diet and everything else you’re doing.
I know this thread isn’t very legit seeing as I’m not providing much info as some of you have said… Which I can understand where you guys are coming from… still taking everything… hit 200 lbs yesterday
