NICE RACKPULLS!!!
Thanx, ladies! I was supposed to bench today but my upper left chest and left elbow were hurting. I noticed it when I started doing facepulls yesterday. I had a heating pad on my back and a hot back on my upper chest last night for about 20 minutes, slept mostly on my back with my left arm straight and took today off. I feel fine now so I should have an awesome bench day tomorrow!
N, I think I’m up to half of your rackpull weight…Between your rackpulls and Kimba’s bench, I have some great goals to try and beat! ![]()
remember my rackpulls were above the knee which is the sissy height. I don’t think I could pull it below the knee.
Well, I measured and mine are right AT the knee, right at the kneecap. I thought they were just below it, but they’re not.
hey as long as you’re honest abt the rack pull height, only a douche is gonna climb on ya for it.
my 405 was at or right above the knee, with straps. i dont care. i picked up 405.
keep working your ass off, its so rewarding to see the numbers go up!
ok, any improvements are awesome, not just the numbers.
Bear offers good insight - as long as you’re working hard, no matter what you do, it will be rewarding.
That said, awesome rack pulls! Glad the chest and elbow feel better!
Just checking in, everything’s looking strong!

Pretty similar to my last back day. amidoinitrite?
Bear, thanx!
Masch, any advice from Claire is good advice! I’m glad they’re feeling better too! And I didn’t re-injure them or anything today either! ![]()
Trav, lol…maybe…
Bench Day!!!
Bench:
5 x Bar
8 x 65
4 x 70
2 x 75
1 x 80
DB Bicep Curls: 2 sets of 12 x 15
Inclines:
5 x Bar
5 x 65
It was a short day since I had to work. I’m going to try and go about 15 minutes earlier from now on.
So…this blond guy and Steve, the owner, were the only other ones in there today. And they were talking about competitions and how Steve used to do Highland Games mostly and how they would fly him all over but if you do Strongman you have to pay your own way. He talked about Dave Tate and Wendler and Westside and EFS (I didn’t catch that part of the convo, but I heard the names). It was really cool hearing him talk about his experiences. Apparently he knows Wendler (has had dinner with him) and some of those EFS guys.
Greeney, you are catching me on bench. Nice work!

Totally agree, what I was trying to get at is if you’re going to compare and compete to motivate yourself at least know that above the knee (which I did) is easier. Greenies is doing it below the knee which is MORE badass. hence she might not hit the same numbers today. But whenever you hit that 315 below the knee you will have beat my ass and I will come over and cook you a celebratory supper! ![]()
cheers

Awesome! New Goal: Dinner by N!!!
bear on peggs computer
i love how lots of people say they know wendler. not calling your guy a liar, just loling at the diff between “i said hi to him at a powerlifting meet 5 years ago,” “i had dinner with him,” and “listen to what fucktard said today.”
like how “friend” and “love” are overused and misunderstood words ofttimes.
oh n i wasnt trying to undercut you by any means. and yeah if she didnt realize how much more difficult below the knee is, im glad she does now.
yes greeney i’ll keep talking about you like youre not here whenever i want. ![]()
and what do i hafta do to get a mainey dinner?
But how many people know Wendler in the Biblical sense…raises eyebrow
Nice benching Greenie!
thousands, my best guess.
Bear- Squat those 4 plates and you get a Mainy meal. Either I fly you up or I come time to meet your little petting zoo ![]()
thats one hell of an incentive.
I don’t know, Bear, he did say he had dinner with him. shrug Oh well.
If N is handing out dinners, we should just have a PW party at her house. ![]()
So, visited the 'rents for Thanksgiving. Whole house smells like cat piss, it’s kind of sad. Personally, I don’t think they should get any more cats after these three go (that’s not going to be for awhile though). Other than that, I think IH did okay with the extended family and they really liked him.
We did get to the local YMCA on Friday. My dad belongs so was able to get us passes. It’s a very sparse set up, with one machine per body part, a power rack with ergonomic plastic/rubber plates, some treadmills, ellipticals, regular bikes, recumbent bikes, and a stair machine. Their vending machines (I think I’ve said before) have maybe 1 or 2 healthy options (Gatorade is one) and the snack machine is all candy and chips. ![]()
Anyway, on with the training!!!
Leg Press:
10 x 70
10 x 85
10 x 100
**Did these while waiting for the rack.
Squat:
5 x Bar
5 x 65
5 x 95
3 x 115
2 x 135 <—Back to my original goal weight!!! Very happy with these.
Leg Extensions: 2 sets of 12 x 60
Good Girl/Bad Girl:
5 x 50
10 x 60
10 x 70
Did these both on inner and outer.
Assisted Pull Up:
5 x 130
3 x 110
Cable Crunches: 2 sets of 20 x 60
In spring, if any of the PW want to make it up to Frenchie’s place, I am totally in
the invite is officially out.
and nice squats
not sure if I’m handling the 135 properly with all the cues anymore…
