Let's Try This: Grneyes' s Log

Not pathetic at all! That sounds like it would kick my ass too.

Just say No Greenie! Its not worth it.

ps. This is said coming from a girl who ate an insane amount of granola last night. GRANOLA?! Seriously? I can’t even binge properly (I’m not condoning binging btw).

I’m glad I don’t like candy much or that might be a problem for me!

Glad you got some activity in…

Le sigh…

Now on to work and successfully avoiding candy…keep your fingers crossed.
Just some tips… make sure you are eating every 2-3 hrs, decent-sized meals so you don’t get any kind of hunger that makes you want to pig out. Also, have a cheat meal once a week so you can look forward to that and not be guilty about it, instead of eating candy.

HAHAH! Awww…

Is that a box of granola on the cat’s head?

If this means what I think it does, don’t worry about it. Just start right back up again.

plan those meals so you don’t fall into the junk so easily. Look reciped on the web some tasty good stuff. It’s hard to get exited about the good food when you don’t know how to prep it.

What you guys said is true.

I’m sure once Greens gets here in 5 days, it’ll get “easier” to stay on track. Right now there’s a lot going on and she’s pretty proccupied with that.

The movers were here last night and this one bedroom apartment got even smaller:) It’s awesome, though.

awww. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Only YOU would notice that it was a granola box, Masch:)

Congratulations on your graduation! You must be so excited to move on to the next stage of your life!

Good job on getting some bodyweight exercises in - I’m sure between work and moving, you’ve got a lot on your plate.

So now I have two weeks to train two people on something that is done once a week. And this week I don’t work with either of them at all. :expressionless:
How do they expect that to work?

Masch, granola is a totally legitimate binge food… soooo goooood.

Just a few more days…then it’s gonna break loose in here!! RAH!

OK, so first day at a real gym. Was very excited. Did actual bench presses, just the bar, but it was fun. My right arm is definitely stronger than my left arm. Did some abs, wide grip pulldowns, leg curls, leg presses.

I told IH that I wanted to learn something new today, or at least the proper way to do something I already sort of know how to do. So we did bench presses. It was great having someone show me and correct me when I needed it. I think it worked great having him do the exercises, then me, so he could help critique my form.

I had an awesome time, though I’m not sure IH believes that. LOL

Tomorrow I will have definite reps and sets for anything we do.

YAAAAY!!! The love fest in the new love nest! How exciting.

Love that you’re excited about the new gym, about learning new things, and that you got some good form critique. This is all great news Greenie. Congrats!

^ ya, that

happy dance

Badass

Really great to see you’re there and you’re square(ed away)! I believe great things are on the way!

Day Two at a real gym:

Learned how to do rack pulls! happy dance

Very exciting! IH said that my form was pretty good but I do have an imbalance and I need to concentrate on pulling my left shoulder back b/c it tends to hunch foward. This is possibly because my shoulders are at different heights.

Did some other stuff of course, including 10 mins on the treadmill.

We don’t really have a plan yet, so we kind of do a full body workout, trying to hit everything. I didn’t feel any pain or DOMS from yesterday, but I’m already feeling soreness from today and I love it. It’s a good soreness.

mmmmm good soreness. I live for it. What height were the pegs for your rackpulls?

The pins were on the lowest possible position, so about knee height? Right at the bottom of the kneecap, I think.
