Let's Define It

Raise your hand if you think Prof. X started this thread to a) see how many people would list him in their “Holy Shit” category and b) so that he could call everybody else small.

If you don’t think that the pictures of Evan demonstrate that he has a huge amount of muscle mass, by ANY standard, there really is no point in having a discussion because it seems clear that you’re in a world of your own.

And before you turn this into a “you wouldn’t say this to my face” thread, be assured that I would. I respect the fact that you’re a very big guy, and you’re clearly both intelligent and well educated, but your logical skills show really bizarre gaps. For example, in the parenting thread where you were claiming that since you used to be a child of parents you therefore knew all about parenting, numerous people pointed out the logical inconsistency between that argument and most of your postings about who is qualified to comment on building big muscle.

It seems to me that the most productive way to launch this thread would have been for you to start off with pictures that demonstrate who YOU think falls into each category and then tell people they should check the scale before claiming to be big, skinny, whatever.

Having said all of that, feel free to carry on as you like.
This post is fucking stupid. I just showed what my own perception of these categories is and I doubt I will be much more than “heavyweight” or maybe a little more after dieting down.

Do you even understand this? If this was a thread about me, after 6 pages or more, with no discussion about me, how dumb do you have to be to come to that conclusion?
So, in terms of reading the post before responding, I said that the best way to LAUNCH this thread would have been for you to post your definitions, not wait until we got 5 pages in. Regardless of that detail, I don’t think my post was stupid, but chacun a son gout.

I’m frankly not all that interested in engaging in an internet war of words, so I’m returning to the Mature Lifters forum where we actually discuss lifting weights, challenges associated with same, and provide helpful advice to one another. If it makes you feel better, I’m happy to concede that you’re smarter, richer, bigger, and better hung than I am.
Kid, had I posted my idea of those categories first it would have not allowed me to get a feel for what others thought with no guidance. get it? I’m not dumber than you. Chances are, I am thinking farther ahead than you especially if you are this turned around about motives that you can look at a fucking NINE PAGE THREAD that has zero discussion about me aside from one poster posting one pic that you think the whole thread was meant to be about me.

You have issues, son. Go take care of that.

Quickly.

Holy Shit or Huge?
I’d argue Holy Shit, just on the basis that balance and symmetry aren’t being debated here, and he’s just massive.
I don’t think having bad aesthetics should disqualify a person from holy shit status. He’s as holy shit as anyone in my book.

the “no one gives a shit” comment is what jumped out at me, yeah I misread what you wrote, sorry.

Where would someone like Gregg Plitt fit in? He’s certainly not huge, and certainly not “sorta works out” but I don’t feel like “big” is the right category for him. IDK.

You’ve been doing this for weeks. I can only assume you are either getting dumber in college, started using pot without the skills to control yourself, started getting drunk every night or are pledging a fraternity right now.

You didn’t even read the first fucking post in this thread that was a few words in length which is why you didn’t even know to post pictures.

That makes you worse than that jackass who just posted claiming the whole thread was meant to be about me.

Those insults were nice as well. I am in a relationship since you care so much. I am pretty sure that all around, if we compare accomplishments. you are not outdoing me any time soon.

Go ahead and post more pics of Evan…because that is what this thread needs.

I feel he’s somewhere in the lower ranges of big most likely.
Picture attatched for reference, had to google him. What does he do?

If had to choose just one category, it would be “kinda sorta works out”. He clearly lifts weights, but in clothes, most would never be able to tell.

Once again, this about the level of muscle mass someone has. If they can’t tel you lift in clothes, you don’t fit in the “big” category yet even though he no doubt is serious when he trains.

How did you embed the picture? lol, I did link to a pic of him. He’s a fitness model/trainer/actor. He was the body of Dr. Manhatten in The Watchmen.

X here’s him in clothes - I definitely see your point since he looks much less impressive there even though it’s obvious he works out. But someone like Ronnie doesn’t even look like he should wear clothes because they all look ridiculous on him.

Brock Lesnar???

Just save a pic to your computer, press reply, it should have an uploading option at the bottom, if it doesn’t, click advanced and it’ll show up.

From WWE or MMA?

In his WWE days, he was pretty close to freak status. Now he looks a lot lighter.

Both

WWE—Freak?

WWE claimed he was 295…he was no doubt carrying more muscle mass and a probably a few percent leaner in these days…I’d say sub 8%

MMA—Huge?

I think he’s about 265 now…hard to say, but I bet he’s probably around 10% body fat at this weight

Ronnie is a beast with legs that must be about 36" around. He looks just fine in suits because he has them tailored…but I can tell you from experience that guys way smaller than him have trouble finding clothes off the rack. I buy most of my shit on line. They usually don’t have my size in most stores unless I want it to fit tight.

In fact, I would even say that in the pro ranks, the goal is to be big enough that clothes give you problems.

Ever seen Kai Greene in a sweat suit? He makes the pants look like spandex.

About Mr. Plitt though, I read an article where he went on about how he has to gain and lose weight rapidly for some of these gigs that require him to be big in one shot but smaller in the next. That means I would not look at him as if that is even his personal goal to look a certain way in an ad. He has been bigger than that but seems to stick to fitness modeling.

If no one can tell you lift seriously in clothes, then you haven’t reached “big” yet.

They both look to be carrying generally similar amounts of muscle mass.

Rhul looks like he has bigger biceps and his chest is ridiculous, but it’s not like you would see Ronnie and think Rhul just completely eclipsed him at all.
