Let's Define It

Bigger than McGrath and JJ

People can posture all they want on here, but it’s all bullshit. If they ran into pretty much any prominent IFBB super heavy in the grocery store, they would say holy shit before they even had a chance to know exactly who it was. I agree that some are obviously a cut above the others, but this whole argument about Kai being “holy shit” and Evan Centopani not is just stupid. They’re both “holy fucking shit” huge.

I never said Kai was not, I am saying Evan is because of someone saying he’s not…but yeah true that.

Evan is a beast. Def. going to watch his videos once I get some free time. Damn it austin, i’m finding it hard enough to study for finals w/o being tempted by this shit. lol.

I saw Zack Khan in my local shopping centre, Meadowhall, sheffield, uk and i was like holy fuck…the guy looked unreal, freakishly unreal…bet everyone who saw him thought that!

WTF? Why are people turning this into a fan thread about Evan? If you have been arguing for pages about whether you can say holy shit about Evan, thank you for fucking up the thread.

No one gives a shit.

The BEASTS of the sport right now are still Kai, Heath, Cutler, and Warren. If Evan fills those ranks eventually, good for him. But he has not been recognized yet as being on the same level as those guys. If you alone want to act like such a fan boy that anyone who isn’t creaming their pants over him gets bombarded with pictures of him, you may want to back your lips at least half an inch away from his ass because your head is fucking up his symmetry.

I think the guy has great potential. I also know he has a growing fan base. But NONE of that shit has anything to do with this thread.

We are discussing the level of muscle mass someone is carrying, and while most pro’s could make someone smaller think “holy shit”, this is not about finding gray areas within a spectrum.

For the people speaking of powerlifters, once again, this is about MUSCLE MASS, not just body size. If you are mentioning some guy just because he is really tall and really fat, stop posting. If he is carrying a shit load of muscle, then by all means, carry on.

WSM counts because many of them do focus on their overall muscle mass. Yes, many of them even do the dreaded “bicepz curl”.

Once again, this is about MUSCLE. It is NOT about whether someone really big in body size makes you say “holy shit”. I’ve said “holy shit” about some 400lbs women on scooters too.

Raise your hand if you think Prof. X started this thread to a) see how many people would list him in their “Holy Shit” category and b) so that he could call everybody else small.

If you don’t think that the pictures of Evan demonstrate that he has a huge amount of muscle mass, by ANY standard, there really is no point in having a discussion because it seems clear that you’re in a world of your own.

And before you turn this into a “you wouldn’t say this to my face” thread, be assured that I would. I respect the fact that you’re a very big guy, and you’re clearly both intelligent and well educated, but your logical skills show really bizarre gaps. For example, in the parenting thread where you were claiming that since you used to be a child of parents you therefore knew all about parenting, numerous people pointed out the logical inconsistency between that argument and most of your postings about who is qualified to comment on building big muscle.

It seems to me that the most productive way to launch this thread would have been for you to start off with pictures that demonstrate who YOU think falls into each category and then tell people they should check the scale before claiming to be big, skinny, whatever.

Having said all of that, feel free to carry on as you like.

Here’s a better pic of Ronnie. Lol I’m very curious what world you are living in if this is only an average physique…

Not a single person is going to look at him and think “he maybe sorta works out”
This is big - you gotta be kidding. I mean the guy looks like he works out but he’s not big. Akuma is big. This dude just has hawt abs.

I know it makes you sad X that nobody will ever put you in the holy shit category IRL. It’s ok man, I thought this retarded thread was about who would constitute what reaction and what is wrong with arguing my point?

Powerlifters? There are plenty with a shit load of muscle mass.

Idk man you’re pathetic, get married, have some kids, stop living in the delusional world thinking you’re anywhere close to the size of a pro bodybuilder. Your sour and insulting 24/7 whenever someone disagrees with you, that’s what elementary school kids do, grow up.

I still can’t fathom why you start a discussion and then tell people who don’t have the same opinion as you, to not post their fat power lifters, wasn’t the point to see what people viewed in each category? I guess we couldn’t put you in a category, you’re obviously so lean…most of the powerlifters/wsm have similar bodyfat levels to yourself and more muscle. If you think you’d weigh more than 220 max contest lean, you’d need to step into reality.

@ ag918w35 - You may or may not be correct - but here’s what I find interesting about it. You get all these different opinions on what’s big to huge which speaks to the level of development of the poster.

I alluded to this in an earlier post.
The more developed and large the poster, the bigger a person has to be to count as “big” “heavyweight” or “Huge” (holy shit is pretty much not debatable, as you don’t get better than Kai, Ronnie, and Jay etc.).
Cephalic_Carnage wrote:

The ones who look like it are? (that is, from my point of view… Marius etc obviously… Poundstone… But really, not pfister… C’mon…

Part of me agrees with you. And part of me does the math. Lets assume he’s 20% ish body fat. .8x375= 300 pounds of lean body mass. I agree with you that he looks like crap, but on the other hand 300 pounds of lean body mass is 300 pounds of lean body mass. It is hard to call that much muscle anything but huge, even if it doesn’t look like much on his 6-6 frame.

WTF? Did you even read that post? I just wrote that powerlifters qualify IF THEY ARE CARRYING A SHIT LOAD OF MUSCLE…but then you write this as if I didn’t write that.

C_C made the same point very well for pages and you ignored him or acted like his point didn’t matter. His opinion is the same as mine on the issue of Evan…yet here you are [pages later still posting pics as if this is the Evan appreciation thread.

This post is fucking stupid. I just showed what my own perception of these categories is and I doubt I will be much more than “heavyweight” or maybe a little more after dieting down.

Do you even understand this? If this was a thread about me, after 6 pages or more, with no discussion about me, how dumb do you have to be to come to that conclusion?

Marcus Ruhl-
Holy Shit or Huge?
I’d argue Holy Shit, just on the basis that balance and symmetry aren’t being debated here, and he’s just massive.

…which is why we are making the distinctions at the ends of the spectrum.

Yes, Vic Richards back in the day reached a level of size that few pros will ever get to. I consider that “oh my fucking gawd” big. I consider Branch Warren and Kai to be on that level.

Evan will no doubt be there eventually but as of yet has not reached the level of those guys ON STAGE.

So, to everyone else, this is not about whether Evan is big or not. This thread isn’t even about Evan.

If you are making this thread about Evan, then you have issues.

…and austin, you seem to have a real problem lately with commenting before even reading a post. It shows. Your entire response makes no sense based on what I wrote.

So, in terms of reading the post before responding, I said that the best way to LAUNCH this thread would have been for you to post your definitions, not wait until we got 5 pages in. Regardless of that detail, I don’t think my post was stupid, but chacun a son gout.

I’m frankly not all that interested in engaging in an internet war of words, so I’m returning to the Mature Lifters forum where we actually discuss lifting weights, challenges associated with same, and provide helpful advice to one another. If it makes you feel better, I’m happy to concede that you’re smarter, richer, bigger, and better hung than I am.

I’d go with Holy Shit. He’s 320 in the offseason, 295 comp. weight. The man is just massive.
