I am not sure what you are asking here.

Something is better than nothing.

That doesn’t mean you walk around pretending you have all basis covered just because you don’t have all equipment.

In my honest opinion, a person looking for big well balanced muscles needs to be in a real gym unless they can actually afford all of the equipment for their home (which is rare).
You should tell every oly lifter in the world that is leaner than you and has more mass than you that they’re doing it wrong. Fuck klokov he might have one of the most aesthetic physiques ever but he would look way better if he’d have hammer strength machines instead of training hard with squats and front squts.
I am honestly not sure what your post had to do with what I wrote at all.

No there aren’t that many oly lifters with well balanced development from head to toe like a bodybuilder for your comment to make sense.

My personal development had nothing to do with this.
we are talking about legs !!!
rare olly lifter who has thiny legs
Well gee, it’s rare for an oly lifter to have quads like Ronnie Coleman so what is your point?
olly lifter doesnt use steroid for growth only for get stronger ,
it is like to ask why naturall BB has no legs as bb who use steroid !~!!! simple
and another point olly lifter never do so much volum as BB do and still get very huge legs .

keep it simple run fast like a sprinter

Using a genetic anomaly to prove look oly lifts build an amazing physique is a broken argument. I would put my money on its very very rare to find a normal side that only ever does oly lifts and had a stellar phys. IMO
You’re right, but in typical Prof X fashion instead of saying something reasonable like leg extensions are a tool in the toolbox and obviously have some merit it ends up as “RESULTS come from hammer strength machines, HUGE FUCKERS use them, do I need to type slower for you blah blah”

But I do know a poster on another lifting board who only squats/front squats (high frequency, heavy and high volume days) and honestly has some of the best quad development I’ve ever seen. I’m not saying that will work for everyone but the reverse (just doing isolations) would be much less likely to build big quads

Mtag thanks for the derail.

no one mentioned hammer strength machines but you.

X didn’t mention hammer strength machines in this thread. And what you quoted here WAS reasonable. He said: something is better than nothing, but that a gym full of equipment is optimal. Did you even read this thread, or the post you quoted? You’re just being a dick for no reason. If you don’t like what X said in other threads, fine, but why bring it into new threads?

hahaha

Also, can we all please agree not to respond to light night questions? This shit is getting ridiculous.

light night, why don’t you just lift weights for awhile. If you aren’t getting results, change your program later. Whether or not leg extensions and curls are necessary to look like Arnold, Klokov, whoever, is immaterial, because you are a beginner, and will get results from anything you do right now.

You can get great results from just squatting for a long time. You can also get great results from the leg curls/extensions. You can get results from sprinting. You can get results from flipping tires. You can get results from lunges.

You will not get results from typing. Stop typing.

that’s all you do for legs, right? I’m pretty sure I read somewhere that Jay Cutler does 100m sprints 3 times a day for his legs. And Phil Heath just plays basketball. Kai Greene just uses his mind muscle connection, forcing his legs to grow through sheer will power.

Best part of this thread is X saying not many people here have massive quads and then like clockwork Ebomb showed up.

I would pay money to watch jay do all out 100m sprints. That would look awesome

To be fair one person shit even 10 out of how mnay posters are here does not equal many in my book

Have you seen the video of him doing a cannonball into a pool?

I think I now have reasonable quads

They grew a lot since last year

This isnt related to the thread but is related to quads

Here is what, IMO, helps quads growth a lot (yes lots of meadows principle are gonna be in there)

 1. Starting with an hamstring exercise to better hit the quads afterwards
 2. Ending with an hamstring exercise where you work the muscle from a stretched position
 3. Doing one “power” exercise where you actually try and be as explosive as you can (you could use bands for this)
 4. Do one exercise that is high/very high reps (legpress, hacksquats, hell even squats)
 5. Use the leg extension to focus on certain part of the quads, use that exercise for high reps and to really focus on squeezing the quads cause lets be honest nobody is gonna get a massive “squeeze” out of a squat or legpress movement like one could on leg extension

I think leg extension is usefull especially in “carving” the quads, if that makes any sense… its like posing the quads, kind of, but with more tension… IMO it helps the quads have more a “pop” to them

Thats all bye

Where did I write this?

What posts are some of you reading?

that is two posts now complaining about me writing things that haven’t been written.

wtf?
Professor X wrote:
Wow…so now leg extensions don’t work anymore.

For all of the “just do squats” talk, there aren’t that many monster quads on this site.

Limit the range with extensions to reduce stress on the knees…but if you want really swole legs, you don’t ignore movements completely like that unless you truly are seeing more progress than most people from the action.

what was wrong with that statement?

One guy with “monster quads” makes the statement wrong?

Too many people here bitching about the most lame crap is what brings down discussions.

Holy balls talk about selective reading I typed that earlier. Wtf you will argue even when someone agrees

Does ebomb have huge quads? I’m interested, as I don’t know much about the guy. Also, X, what’s up with putting “monster quads” in quotation marks? Are you in disbelief that someone else on the site could have big quads? I know for a fact that Brickhead has some huge fucking quads. I’ve seen pics. Why the doubt?

Ebomb does indeed have some of the best quads I’ve seen. I trained with him and a few other T-folk at Bev’s a few years back, and I can honestly say that he’s very gifted (not to discount very hard work mind you), and I have no doubt he’s going to go far as a competitor. He’s also a damn nice guy.

Brick is definitely not a tiny dude, and no doubt has the potential (IMO) to probably do some damage on the stage if it was ever important to him. I’ve seen him at different levels of development, but the better I get to know the guy, the more I realize that he has a very healthy view of how “all of this” fits into the rest of his life. Some people forget that reaching bodybuilder proportions isn’t everyone’s goal.

Ebomb is a monster. Like Stu said, his quads are absolutely ridiculous.

Ebomb is an anomaly around here. For every guy like him, or Bauber, or any of the other true beasts who have spent time on here, there are hundreds of little guys who like to talk shit without anything to back it up.

side note, Brickhead’s got some quality leg development, certainly impressive.
