I gave it a look. Kinda’ cursory but still looked and skimmed over the very brief statements the SPLC left.
I’m hesitant to actually place the blame at their feet if some “hate groups” endorse them or support them. Same goes for the left. I think too often the wrong people get blamed for the actions of others.
I simply want to see these labels applied fairly and objectively.
I’ve yet to see any Dem or leftist politician condemn Antifa or BLM; If they have I’m unaware. Or Deray McKesson (sp) or Shaun King ( good lord what a fucking tool)
I’m not gonna argue there arent bad apples in the Democratic party.
But if a candidate is bring endorsed and supported by a hate group I DO think that says a lot.
BLM is a tough one because it is so fractured and means different things to different members and supporters. But bring supported by the “communist council for the people” or whatever is a little more clear as their intent is more focused and clear imo.
While again I hesitate to place too much blame on him for it it would be hard to argue against this. It’s not a coincidence that many of them have cited him.
Not to mention it’s weird to be mad about political violence from fringe groups only when the actual fucking President has called for violence more than once.
I think it’s more because he wants a secure border. Which is not racist at all ffs. I really think some of these “hate groups” identify with or like someone that shows strength in the face of all the bullshit hurled at him and can relate as a large swath of the left has gone off the rails with their labels, perjoratives and identity politics.

When you spend a good chunk of your rally on disparaging Mexicans, then say you want a wall and that the Mexicans are going to pay for it, that’s when it comes off as racist.

These hate groups have found the enemy of their enemy in trump and some rrpublicans. And trump and some republicsns have found the enemy of thrir enemy in these hate groups. I think it’s that simple. In the past no one tried to curry favor from hate groups because, well… Morals. I honest to God, no hyperbole, do not think anything is sacred to trump. He’d throw Ivanka under the bus to retain office, he would throw America under the bus to have more money than bezos.
Maybe calling trump racist, etc is wrong. Maybe he is just pandering to what he sees as an untapped voterbase. Does that make it better though?
There are a lot of people that say when they’ve met Trump personally in private that he’s a genuine guy and really personable. I believe he loves his family, Americans and this country. I also believe he can be crass, boorish and a dufus.
I guess with some of y’all no matter what he does you’ll still shit on him. Oh well. It’s gonna be a rough 4 more years. He’s done more for us; minorities, than Obama did in 8 years.

Actually maybe not yours. You were still active duty then? I would imagine being active duty military would have been fairly insulated from the financial turmoil of the great recession? Or at least not hit as hard?
