I have noticed for awhile now that my left pec is larger than my right, it is noticeable just from looking, but not to the point that it’s glaringly obvious. You’d have to stare for awhile to realize this. It’s a good thing that I found this out before I started my cycle or I’d probably be freaking out, haha.
So my question is this:why is it larger? It’s not stronger and my right side is dominant, so I’m thinking it may be because my heart is on the left, taking up more room than on the right? I don’t know, that may be idiotic, but I’m genuinely curious.
I’m fairly certain it’s not gyno. My nipples aren’t puffy, sensitive, nor do I have a raw itchy feeling around them. I’ve probed both pecs and they feel the same, no unusual lumps. I will say that occassionally when I’ve done this the inner part of my left nipple has felt a little sore.
But I’m not sure if this is do to me pushing too hard, because it doesn’t feel like that every time and I could be paranoid.
Regardless, have any of you had similar problems/experiences and if so what do you think this sounds like? Thanks in advance.

ooooh dear. um yaa. try some dumbell chest work ie; decline flys, incline presses flast bench, this will make sure your dominant side cannot help the less dominant and hopefully even you out. But honestly IMO im betting you need to focus more on total body mass, and with a statement like more than likely dont need to be taking any sort of AAS
Once you get bigger, stuff will even out. Just practice proper form. In the first year of lifting for me, I had a bigger left delt, bigger right tricep, bigger left bicep, bigger left lat, bigger right calf, and bigger right quad and/or hamstring.
Why was this? Because before lifting, I had used those muscles specifically for things such as jumping (I’m left handed, so jumping with my right leg explains its bigger size), playing tennis (hence bigger left bicep and shoulder and maybe even lat), and I have no idea what the bigger right tricep came from.
The point is keep on lifting and eventually you will most likely be evened out.
Enlarged heart maybe? Do you have trouble breathing sometimes or palpatations? This is not to scare you at all, however it could be a possibility. Had a friend that had the same thing you have and he found out that it was his heart that was enlarged.
This is uncommon so chances are its something else, but Id still get checked anyway.
Game, I don’t think it’s an imbalance of that nature because I’ve been training for years now and I rarely do barbell chest work. I almost exclusively use dumbbells to avoid such imbalances. If anything, being right side dominant I would think it’d be the right would be be bigger, but it’s not. Also, I posted my stats in a previous thread before starting my cycle, so I think I can handle the reasoning behind using aas.
Jazz…thanks for the tip I’ll have to get it checked out when I hit the states. I don’t think that is it becaus I’m pretty active and my job is incredibly active and I’ve never had problems but it’s worth looking into.

Hey 83 don’t sweat it dude. Almost everyone is asymetrical to some extent, just more so with some folks than others. My left pec is the same way, especially if I have to stop training. But when I’m in shape and training smart, it evens out very well and you can’t even tell then.
I have had a few threads on this very thing over the years here, and a few times I actually concentrated on it. Like these guys are saying, your best bet is diet strategy, and heavy DB benching/incline/flys. You can even go to the extent, like I did, of putting more weight/intensity on the smaller side vs. the bigger side. You just have to be careful to get used to the form and uneven balance that results from this. I even did just one arm benching etc for a while and that coupled with some pre-exhaustion stuff with the DB’s worked really well to get it symmetrical enough for me. Then I would just use the DB’s in even weights to maintain this.
Just my 2 cents. Good luck and don’t worry about it though.

Thanks! Good to know I’m not the only one. Like I said, I do a lot of dumbbell work with my chest, but I think I’m gonna add some one arming benching and see how that works out. Thanks again.
I have been “on the team” for years and my left pec started out bigger than my right , stayed bigger than my right , and is to this day bigger than my right. I have tried alot of different things to remedy this but nothing works.
I am much much bigger than when I started lifting years ago and they still dont match! I think if you have the the same issue I do than your shit outa luck!
If I had two left pecks I would look f#ckin sick couse my right looks fine but my left is so filled out its kinda overpowering the right if you really take a good look. Just put it out of your mind bro.
are you right handed? Normally your right side will then be more coordinated than your left. So the muscles will have to work harder on your left side with the same input from your NS because it is not as efficient of a signal. Hence more hypertrophy on ones non dominant side. This is true with almost everyone, no matter experience level. Nothing to worry about imo - it happens.
DB bench et al would be a good start to even it out though
