I think I HAVE growled at someone before. And quite recently called someone a douche a little too loudly, but not meant for them to hear, but they did because my music was blasting, sort of thing…

I’ve made a difficult decision.
I won’t be doing a meet this winter.
I’ve been given the opportunity for more hours at work, both at my store and my satellite. My craving for some sort of financial security and the knowledge that january, february, and march will be low income months for me led me to accept lots of crazy shifts during my break from school, including weekends.
ie, time at EFS.
by no means will i shortchange my training. I’m getting back into it and it’s helping me keep a semi-rational state of mind. I need it and will need it more in the future. I still have the goal to lift heavy enough to impress myself and scare the people around me.
so lets take a moment to mourn for the lost meet and gather some RAWR for the months ahead.

Sucks being a grownup sometimes, but money before meet is a smart short-term decision. There will be other meets, and the training is the important thing not the competition.
