Left On Broadway

See, I’m more of a CBear when it comes to jewelry, although I am trying to get better. I have never been good at accessorizing, so that’s one hurdle, but the second hurdle comes from how much I hate losing jewelry. When you drink like I do, it’s very dangerous.

Kimba and Maschy- i hear what youre saying. i really do. it’s that whole “let it go,” part if i lost something that i couldnt handle. storytime:

i swam varsity all four years of high school (surprised me, because going into it i was sure i’d be JV) so that “Varsity” thing was always a big deal for me. yeah, i was that guy. so for a graduation present, my mom had one of my letter pins copied in 22K gold, and got me a 22K gold chain with a lobster claw closure.

while that’s very cool in itself, the cooler part is that to have it copied, she sent it with a doctor friend and his wife when they went home to India… her brother is a jeweler, and did it at cost. but, it had to be transported back, which is cool because of the safety/security/customs things.

i wore it with pride for several years after high school, and, cleaning up after one of my apartment parties in the old days, i couldnt find it. ended up cleaning my apartment, monica style, still was nowhere. i asked, begged and tried to bribe everyone that had been there, no one owned up to seeing it.

im still ticked off about it, and i cant remember whether or not ive told my mother i dont have it anymore. it’s one of the reasons i really dont wear much jewelery, outside of a watch. (it’s a nice watch, though. swiss army, pink face. yes, pink.)

im not good at accessorizing either. its easier when black is a staple color, and where jeans/yoga pants are frequent fliers in my wardrobe.

“which black shirt am i going to wear today… oh, the decisions…”

I find toe rings are always an appropriate accessory. Damn those pearls are gorgeous.

happy late birthday, and happy great vids! and a raise?!! FLIPMODE!

I’d rather accessorize with tattoos

I like the way you think.

And since no one has said it yet. Pearl necklace. heh. heh.

Yes! And then there’s none of those pesky decisions about which one to wear with what outfit! And no chance of losing them, ever. I approve.

Its expensive though! I average a tat every 3 years. I’m due for another one next month.

Hi CB!

Those are very pretty. If you are happier storing them away than wearing them, you know best.

Maschy and I will be the compound’s jewelry sluts, and damn fine ones at that.

Very beautiful! I love pearls. Would love to see the Pyrex too. I love that kind of stuff. Did he get you the ones with the snap lids (I think they make those)?

owlie- i lost my fascination with toe rings the year i helped my nail salon at the state fair… they had a booth selling the toe rings with rhinestones and clear rubber band thingys… my long toes meant sometimes i was wearing 2 or 3 at a time, sitting on a stool, legs crossed (so a foot stuck out) for 8 hrs at a time. doesnt sound awful, but trying to make me sit still (once i get out of bed) is tough.

brute- thanks, woman! flipmode… lol!

MIM and frzn- tats ftw! much prefer those to jewelery. reminds me, i should make an appt to get more of mine worked on…

kimba- jewelery, shoes, and bags? you’re such a… a… GIRL! i like ya that way tho.

bg- yeah i was waitin for it. glad i can count on ya!

greenie- the lids are the red leakproof kind… will get pic tomorrow. so happy how my cuboard is organized now. i haz a box for all the lids and they FIT in there and its convenient.

i made a crapton of food tonight so i’d hafta store it… teehee… i like using my new stuffs.

ftr, i made:

cheddar garlic biscuts
dark chocolate brownies (will have cream cheese frosting on em) for the coworkers
cucumber salad (minus the bacon. will do that tomorrow)

and made dinner- tuna and egg salad on a butter broiled pita, 4c strawberries with 1c greek yogurt.

i will have awesome poops tomorrow.

i still havent lifted this week, i say its still my birthday and i do what i want!

(ok i really do wanna lift just hate the idea of doin it at the local. i’ll go get something done tomorrow night. maybe something small, but, something.)

Is there anyone there that you know of(besides Pegg) that you wouldn’t mind lifting with? Might help the moto when you don’t feel like going to the local.

ran off 4 lifting partners in less than 2 years. between trying to date me and thinking im a lil crazy (true) and upset that i push them too hard… well, i know the crowd at my local and i dont mind talking to some of the people, or asking for a spot here and there, but i cant think of anyone i’d want to lift with.

buckeyegirl even moved outta state!

i really just hafta get my head screwed back on straight.

well, back on.

well, in the general vicinity of my other parts.

i missed your bday!! so sorry. sounds like it was great though! happy belated!

pearl necklace…giggle!

fuck you and all ur gyrotalk. it’s neverending.

She’s lifting with me when I come to town. Which will be sometime this fall.

deja- no need to apologize! i hope the gyro talk doesnt ever end. nom.

snap- sign me up! i’ll make it if i can!

training

yeah, i did that.

sorta.

went in and did some silly shit just to get the blood movin and stuffs, didnt wanna be sore for lifting this weekend.

so i did

good mornings with just the bar

seated low cable rows, close neutral grip, 60lbs

face pulls, 30lbs

4x12

then walked on the tmill at 5% incline, 3.5mph, for 10 min.

tomorrow is FRIDAY and i get a THREE DAY WEEKEND! wahooo!!!

about jewelry:
I look fat in necklaces so those sit unused. :frowning:
but I’ve gotten into the earring habit and I really like it. The nice thing about earrings is you don’t have to think about them once they’re on, but they make you look a little girlier. A friend of the family who makes jewelry actually made me earrings out of bullet casings: there’s a garnet in the front, so you wouldn’t notice what they were unless you were looking for it. I feel very badass in those.

Earrings: I used to have 6 holes in each ear.
joined the military and they all closed up. I had a tongue ring until I got busted. Your not allowed to wear a lot of bling so I guess I got into the habit of not wearing any jewelery at all.

back on jewelery- yes, i do like earrings, but they get in my way when im at work, answering phones all day…

i had 6 holes in 1 ear and 4 in the other, 2 of those holes closed up. (had to take out much of my piercings when i started pharmacy, they were scaring my patients. no way was i gonna change their minds about circus freaks in the 120seconds of interaction i have with them once or twice a month.)

i also have/had:

1 in my back
1 in my nose(closed)
2 in my tongue
1 in my sternum (closed- between my boobs. called it the “peeker”)
2 in my belly button
1 in my left wrist
1 in my hood
2 in my labias (1 each)
1 in my toe (closed, callused over and worked itself out. think, toe ring)

try takin me through a metal detector… HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Very creative piercings CBear.

I like body piercings… to see on other people. For me… not that adventurous.
Only considered belly button but not anymore since those are too common, they’re hardly cute anymore.

I like the sternum and back of the neck piercings. And hips.
Again, just to see on other people
