Supersecret job test this morning did NOT go well.
two little parts went ok, i passed. the big part… ugh. stuff i wasn’t prepared for, which is all my own fault. now i get to do everything i can to get ready to do it again, which is perfect. no barbell in my hands for a month, and no school.
wat wat!
thanks for all the love, bitches. been a crazy week. for one reason or another, i’ve been had shit to do in the mornings, and ive been getting up before 7am every day this week. i remember why i like it so much! I just may keep this part up!
About the test: now you know what you have to fix and I trust that you will do just that.
About the running/walking. Yes, its humbling. I just spent this whole year being betrayed by what I thought was a strong, athletic body. I can’t tell you what the shin issue is, but I can tell you what works with shit like this. Run or walk just below the point of irritation. Then stop. And add another measly minute the next time. And then the next. You have to sneak up on your body, not go into it with a predetermined “I’m gonna run/walk for 30 minutes” goal.
So, go and walk for 5 min. Something easy that you know won’t hurt. Bump it up slow. SLOW SLOW!
sounds like shin-splints to me. Basically a general term or shin pain! It goes away in my experience yet it still is painful.
Speed walking is no joke! I think maybe you just might have confused your legs with the leg curls then the walking. Don’t forget to pump your arms too! I’m serious! I hate running. Its very hard on my body–besides the whole chaffing on my legs. If you want to get crazy, pump your arms in the sky too…looks ridiculous but its not so easy.
I think you can do just as much cardiovascular improvements with speed walking as running, if not more! And for some reason it doesn’t take away your will to live like running does. Is running just a goal? If so go for it…if its more cardio based I’d vote for speed walking.
sounds like shin splints for sure. I would be like that every year during football. was always fun looking like a 1 year old trying to walk… ice, ibuprofen, stretching, and rolling. will take some time. your muscles are micro tearing. check with Robertson too. sure he has some tricks up his sleeve.
