Lead/Anchor for In-Season Training

Would there be any advantages to creating a lead/anchor layout for in-season training? Or would you just run this template for 4-6 months: 5/3/1 and Athletes . I am assuming it would keep with the 5/3 progression regardless of the answer.

Quick question, strongly thinking about subscribing to Wendler’s personal forum. Anyone care to offer a few selling points on that?

There’s enough training templates on the forum to last a lifetime, but the biggest selling point for me is that it’s one of the only drama-free sites on the internet. If you’re interested in getting stronger and would like to be surrounded by like-minded, mature adults, it’s the place to be.

I signed up for the training templates, but I stayed for the laughs, camaraderie, and intelligence.


For in season training, we have three seperate weeks and use them according to the practice schedule. No leader or anchor. We also don’t do 5/3 and haven’t in awhile.
