Only sailors use condoms.
My sister had a blood clot in her leg they attributed to the pill. A female friend of mine had a mild stroke a few months ago. I am not sure if the pill was implicated or not.
I hope my daughters stay off the pill. It doesn’t protect from STDs anyway.

A couple of ways really. Directly, as in it alters hormone levels, reducing libido. Or indirectly, by causing weight gain and bloating, leading to feelings of ‘unsexiness’ and hence loss of desire (in some women).[/quote]

That certainly does make sense. I, for one, am not planning on finding out what a decade of extra estrogen will do to my body. Hopefully, 10 years from now I’ll be in a situation where a more permanent, non hormonal form of birth control can be used.
