Favorite Slayer workout song “Stain of Mind”
I like anything from Pantera’s Far Beyond Driven

It is proven that listening to Slayer can actually cause you to gain muscle and loose fat without actually lifting weights.
True story.
I wouldn’t be surprised if it actually is true. Those songs must boost Test and GH in some way or another. Slayer’s always at the top of my iPod list at the gym.
(Now, if only they would cover an Ashley Simpson song - then we’d really have something special.)
Even CW agrees!! Actually I was only half joking when I posted that, if you crank up Warzone, Payback or Dittohead you can literally feel the T and GH surging!!
Lets not forget the humble mosh-pit for cardio/GPP and head-banging certainly builds up them neck muscles!!

Well, Megadeth have covered “These boots are made for walking” which was also done by her sister Jessica…
Its always great when a metal band covers a lame pop song. Actually makes it somewhat enjoyable.
ICP while working out isn’t too bad either.
I prefer adult alternative to heavy metal:
Powerman 5000
Korn
Union Underground
Methods of Mayhem
Crystal Method
Nine Inch Nails
Static X
Disturbed
And on and on…
Can’t you make shared playlists in iTMS? If so, somebody with an iPod should make a workout playlist so we can check the stuff out. “Music for Deadlifting” or something like that.
during workout
system of a down-toxicity, chop suey, suicide
disturbed-down with the sickness
lil john-stop ******* with me
anything hardcore
cool down i listen to R&B, old school rock
when I play paintball I listen to let the bodies hit the floor before every round I play it gets me pumped.

I listen to heaps of different stuff when I work out but for the last month I have been listening to nothing except for ‘Killing in the Name of’ by rage against the machine when I squat. I dont know that it has increased my squat by 12%, but it works for me for some reason. (just dont sing the catch line to loud or you may get kicked out of the gym)
“Fuck you I won’t do what you tell me!”
That’s one of the baddest jams of all time. I get all juiced just thinking about it
Children of bodom.
Forget all this nu-metal crap. Try lifting to something that has some intensity to it. Copied and pasted from my Ipod:
1349, Axis of Advance, Belphegor, Bolt Thrower, Council of the Fallen, Crebain, Cryptopsy, Deathspell Omega, Draugar, Glorior Belli, Gorgoroth, Hate Eternal, Into the Moat, Keep of Kalessin, Lamb of God (OK one nu-metal band), Leviathan, Mastodon, Melechesh, Misery Index, Moonblood, Morbid Angel, Necrophagist, NILE, Pig Destroyer, The Red Chord, Satyricon, Vehemence, Weakling

Thanks for saying what I didn’t have the guts to…
I’ll add Mayhem, Emperor, Burzum, Bathory, Darkthrone, Immortal, for some really hardcore, ear-splitting death metal. Don’t forget good ole-fashioned ass-kicking Meshuggah, Shadows Fall, Amon Amarth, and Sigh.
Rammstein gets me going like no other. “Du Reichst So Gut” (frogive me, German speaking friends for that attempt at spelling) is my favorite lifting ever.
Cool, I’m glad to see some metal fans out there.
My choices:
The Black Dahlia Murder
Remembering Never
Unearth
Bleeding Through
Through the Eyes of the Dead

This is what I’m talkin about. It doesn’t get better than blasting some death or black metal while smashin fuckin weights, and the people that pass by the garage I train at just have that puzzled and quite disturbed look lol. Oh yeah and plus the neighbors who think we are just plain out of our minds.
Just to add a few more of my favorites: Akercocke, Arsis, Carcass, Death, Deicide, Cannibal Corpse, Vader, Vesania, Jungle Rot, Testament, Kataklysm, Krisiun,Finntroll,Behemoth, Bloodbath, Blood Red Throne, Cephalic Carnage, Marduk, Napalm Death, Old Man’s Child, Paths of Possession, Suffocation, Vital Remains, Sepultura, Rammstein, Slayer, Disturbed (yes I said it), and of course some that were already mentioned plus some more!!
Corrosion of Conformity
Machine Head - first two albums only
The only CD I’ve been listening to lately (apart from Slipknot’s Iowa) is a compilation called Route 666. It is fucking fantastic. Everything from Soulfly to the Isane Clown Posse. I’m going to pick up a few more compilations to see what newer stuff I like.
Sidenote - In about 4 days, I’m seeing Korn, Hatebreed and Disturbed live in concert. That’s going to be HUGE!!!
