Last Time You Punched?

I realized I got all the way to forty years of age without punching any other man in the face.

Sure I got beaten up in elementary school once, and in junior high, but then that stuff didn’t happen anymore and I never got around to needing to punch anyone.

How about you?

No grown up fights. Last fight I was about 16. I won of course but my overall fight record is terrible. I’ve won about five and lost about twenty five. Of course the twenty five I lost were all against Doug who would just beat me up on a regular basis just to remind me he could. Damn I miss Doug. RIP

I have but it’s been at least 10 years

About a month and a half ago. Got into it with a family member, one of the young bucks (over 18 though) tried to step up and disrespect his mother’s house with some bullshit. When I tried to explain the concept of “her house, her rules”, he felt a little froggy and decided to jump. LOL. It got serious when he figured out he wasn’t going to beat me with his hands, so he pulled a knife and actually cut me with it.

Had to open up a can of whup ass - cops got called and everything. I kicked his ass like he owed me money! Just had court about it today, lucky for him it was a null process. I showed up and told the commonwealth of VA that it was just a misunderstanding and I didn’t want to press any charges - we hugged it out. Fucker learned his lesson, though - his mother said he’s not getting into trouble or doing any more dumb shit, so it was worth it.

Sometimes young men will push thier boundaries a little too far. And the only thing that’ll get through to them is an asswhuppin’.

Dude! getting in a scuffle with drunken relatives is one thing but trying to stab you?! that’s pretty damn intense!

Most the times I have been hit or hit someone else recently has been in just training martial arts and boxing stuff. No outside scuffles for a while lol

I’ll be the first to admit I have a very “unique” family. We put the fun in dysfunctional.

My last full-out fight was when I was 32, with my wife’s brother of all people. He was drunk at my house setting off fireworks on the 4th of July and I asked him not to aim them at other people’s houses on the block. He pushed me, I pushed him and we were off. I was the one who stopped it as I didn’t want to send him to the ER and cause hard feelings in the family. We got over it and it’s basically forgotten.

Another good one was when I was married a short while, I was maybe 29. I was with my wife and a bunch of friends coming out of a club on Long Beach late at night. There were some maybe slightly younger guys on the side and one made a comment about my wife’s ass. So I go over to them and ask the one guy what he said… he says something idiotic so I plow him one on his cheekbone below his eye, he falls and gets up and swings at me. I proceed to beat the living crap out of him in the parking lot.

His friends didn’t make a move since the guys I was with told them not to. So we leave, my wife is crying. I probably should have let it go. The incident made the paper a couple of days later, a little blurb. The facts didn’t match up, so it may have been another fight.

I was a local Golden Gloves boxer from age 8 to 16, had 3 brothers and lived in a tough neighborhood. So it was either learn to fight or be a victim.

Rob

In a bar after work a couple of weeks ago with some arsehole, he was upstairs on the second floor of the bar playing pool and I was on the lower level drinking. The way it’s set up is that the bar is more or less underneath a set of wooden railings with the stools and counter protruding outwards a little bit, so this one guy probably had a few drinks and after a few games he decided it would be funny to try and spit downwards into my beer from the second floor without me realising, his aim was off and it landed on the counter next to me, I realised and decided to move because I didn’t want to start an argument and be kicked out of the bar so soon.

So I move way over to the leftmost part of the bar, about 10 feet from where I was before, and after a minute or so this guy moves himself over and tries again, so this time he hits the rim and I pay for my beer and head upstairs, he starts laughing we get into a scuffle and he’s already pretty drunk so I knock him out, then his sober-ish designated driver friend decides to hop in to avenge his friend, ends up going to the floor and I pick up and threaten to break his teeth in with the ashtray that they were using if he doesn’t take his friend and leave.

He agrees so we pick up his friend and carry him down the stairs and out to the guy’s car, I put him in the back then head inside and the bartender gives me a free scotch to make up for my beer before I have to leave.

When I was 24. Got in a fight with 2 guys in a gas station.

Last fight I was in I was 32. I was smaller back then 165 to 170. I was heavy into Kempo Karate. I lived in an area where there was a bar open late and a store. It was hot and I wanted some ice tea. When I made my way across the parking lot and some drunken idiot with a beard trying to look tough was shouting. I didn’t pay any attention cause it was not ment for me or so I thought.

I go in the store and come out and this guy was standing in front of me 220 -ish, kinda bulky fat power lifter blue collar looking kinda guy. He says something about didn’t you hear me you piece of shit and swung a drunk right hook. He missed and stumbled a bit. Guess he really wanted to hit me. So he swings and again and I keep his momentum going so he displays his back. I put a simple choked on him and tell him I don’t want to fight.

So he started moving around trying to shake me and I feel like I am holding on to a bull. So I dig in the choke hold and cut his air and blood supply to end it. He falls and started to convulse on the ground. I get scared and I ran. No cops show up, but an ambulance to take him away. I could see it from my house. I was scared I was going to be arrested for attempted killing him or worst. That was the last time I fought anyone.

early twenties, so twenty five plus years ago.

Was 15. I’m 25 now.

I was 21 when I had my last street fight. I found out that one of my friends, who was a bit of a douche bag, was trying to mess with my current girlfriend. He was actually dating one of my ex’s too…this guy just loved the taste of my pee-pee.

I called him out on it and he had been avoiding me. One night I ran into him, called him some names, and we ending up fighting. Fight lasted less than a minute. I punched him a few times, he actually missed every single punch he threw at me. We ended up clinching and the action sort of came to halt. But at that point a cop car had driven by and we were broken up by friends who were watching. This motherfucker actually threw a punch after we had been seperated, yet he missed AGAIN. I saw him a couple weeks later at a night club and we both sort of shrugged it off and spent the night hanging out. Years later, I got nothing to do with him. He’s still a cowardly douche bag.

I used to box (just training, no fights) and did a lot of sparring, sometimes without headgear. That was about five years ago. So, it’s been a long time since I’ve hit or been hit by another person.

I doubt I’ll ever get into a fight again. Kinda sad. If it’s an even match between two people who actually want to fight each other, and it ends when the fight is over (no stomping a dude out, or pounding someone’s face long after they’ve been beaten) then it’s all good in my book. Sometimes you just need to fight.

Damn, that’s scary.

Since you said “man” in the OP I will leave out stuff prior to college graduation. Since then the closest thing to a fight is an altercation with my brother-in-law. We both hit each other once and I got him in a bear hug from behind and started trying to break him in half. He farted and we both started laughing and quit like it never happened.

About 18 months ago, i posted it on here then. Heres a recap

So last night i was driving home and i was driving up a 2 way street that could only fit one car up at a time due to parked cars.

I’d already reversed my car back down the srteet let someone out.

Anyway i was around 75m up the 100m or street when a car pulled down the street at the same time. Flashing his lights and shit signalling me to move. i stayed put as he should of been reversing.

The passenger gets out of the car (cunt we’ll cal him) and starts shouting at me to turn my lights off (in arabic, im in egypt and cant speak/understand fluently). He comes up to my window which is down screaming at me turn my lights off ( i assume they were in his eyes) and telling me to reverse.

I explained that my main beams weren’t on etc. when i was looking at the dash cunt slapped me across the face from inside out side the car.

The the other 4 guys got out of the car and approcahed my window as well.

Flight or flight?

Flight wasn’t an option. they started reaching through the window to grab me and stuff so i hopped to the passenger seat and opened the drivers door slight and the booted the door open to get them away from the car. I figured that even i get out of the car and fight and be on my feet or i get dragged out and end up on the folor and get the shit kicked out of me.

I went straight for cunt and grabbed his collar and got a few shots off as the other 4 guys jumped me and dragged me off. I leant forward with my left hand grabbed his throat and could feel his windpipe in my hand and i just held on for dear life for about 20 seconds.

Pushed him forward onto my bonnet, i could feel him struggle for breath and getting weaker and weaker, all while the other 4 guys are trying to pull me away.

2 more guys jumped in from the street to hold me back as well and i finally let go.

After that the guy who slapped me started shouting abuse at me, which enraged me more. I shook free and barged through the 6 guys who were around me and rushed towards cunt and threw him to the floor via the bonnet of another car.

I then pucnhed him 4 or 5 times in the ribs and head until i was dragged back again.

Anyways, it calmed down then and the driver of the car started to apologise once he figured out i was foreign etc and cunt was out of order.

as all this was going on a few cars moved and we could both get down the street then, a few people were talking to me to calm me down and were telling me that the guy was really hurt and stuff. which i was glad about.

As our cars crossed the driver apologised again and again. and i eventually left.

I figured he hit me because he knew it was 5 on 1 and i would shy away and back up. No expecting me to go mental.
