It was the 3rd worlds strongest men competition. Willem won the first 2. Iv think the year was 79.

I totally forgot about that.

Well dammit, now I just want to watch over the top again.

When people haven’t seen this or roadhouse it makes me sad inside.

I didn’t know who that ā€œkidā€ was who beat Larry, but now I’m seeing tons of videos of him trouncing some pretty big dudes.

This ā€œschool boyā€ is pretty impressive. I don’t know much about arm wrestling, aside from little tidbits my brother in law mentions here and there (he qualified for the Arnold this year), but it’s pretty obvious that technique and proper training play a huge role, which may be a sobering realization for typical gym rat bodybuilders.

Devon larrat has some videos on his channel about school boy. Hes already a beast as far as arm wrestling goes and he is pretty young too. He has a knack for technique thats for sure

Maybe it is just a random occurrence, but we have a new crop of arm wrestlers in the powerlifting and strongman gym I go to. I think there are 3 or 4 of them now. Technique seems to be pretty important based on my observations of their training.

I have decided to declare that arm wrestling hurts my elbow every time I get challenged. It actually has on more than one occasion, and it saves me from potentially losing a ā€œstrengthā€ competition due to my terrible technique.

I used to have my high school students always challenging me to arm wrestle. Despite my decently impressive guns, the last thing I needed was to hurt my wrist and not be able to draw. I’d usually avoid actually engaging by telling them the only way I’d arm wrestle was if we put their final grade in the balance. Either they beat me and get an A, or I beat them and they get an F

I was never much good at arm wrestling. I think my wrists are too short or something, because I’d get my hand turned over like every single time, then it was just a matter of time before I’d loose.
