Side Laterals Drop Set 7.5kg (16.5 lbs), 6 lbs, 4 lbs? 3 x 10
Not sure of the weight of the last one. @Frank_C, @flappinit, @jackolee, just thought about it now, is there a proper way to do drop sets? Like the weight should be dropped by X amount of percent bla bla bla?

The latest 120kg squat I forgot to upload last time

No. If you drop the weight and keep going, it’s a dropset. What you should focus on is what allows you to push through failure in a more efficient matter. If you hit 4 reps, drop 10 lbs and barely grind out 1 rep, you might have gotten more out of dropping 40 lbs and hitting 5 more reps. But it’s up to you, it’s a personal preference, and it’s based purely off of experience.

Did he hurt your feelings?

Ahh got it. Just didn’t want to waste the lighter sets by doing them wrong. I guess as long as I feel the burn, I’m good?

@flappinit is right. It’s preference. I usually drop about 20% or to a weight that allows me to get at least 8 more reps. At the end of the day I just want to get as much blood to the muscle as I can.

Got it, thanks gents!

Which means, if you drop the weight and fail, drop it again. And again, and again, and ow…

Nah I don’t listen to him much.

Why so? Dude knows his shit

Don’t get around to it much tbh. Got nothing against him but got all I need elsewhere.

Tate is a slow talker. He’s still cool and full of great info, it just takes a long time to listen to him.

Fair enough lol. Whatever works haha

It’s an affectation of his old bulking strategy of saving calories everywhere you can.

Can’t go banging those words out for the back row. Just let them ease out.

Squat
60kg x 5
80kg x 3
100kg x 3
110kg x 1
120kg x 1
130kg x 1 (Fail - wobbly descent, lost balance, immediately dumped the bar)
130kg x 1 (Fail - more stable descent, initiated the concentric, moved maybe 1 inch at most, had to abort)
100kg x 5
100kg x 5
Needless to say, I’m disappointed. I thought I was feeling good so I tried it today. On the bright side, I walk out of the gym alive to lift another day

Bench
47.5kg x 5
55kg x 3
60kg x 6
FSL 3 x 5

Lat Pulldowns 45kg 3 x 10
Cable Pec Deck Flyes 110lbs 3 x 10
Cable rows 45kg 3 x 10

Yes, that failed lift messed with me mentally.

Vids for roast

Accidentally deleted the second 130kg so I was more pissed at myself. I’ll upload what I can when I get home
