Squats have never really been my strength, I have benched more then I’ve ever squatted (310) but lately have been prioritzing squats and showing some improvement. With that improvement has come some ongoing sore knees. Not debilitating or anything yet. I understand knees wraps should help with this.
Any rec’s as to what to buy or any techniques for wrapping? I have lifted for many years and never wrapped my knees before. Thanx for any help.
Look up Tommy Kono knee bands. They are an elastic material in a sleeve form that helps keep the knee both warm and slightly compressed. Good stuff.
First off, I would recommend figuring out what the real issue is and dealing with it, rather than masking it. If you have questions, check out my “Knee Pain Thread”, as I answered tons of questions regarding knee pain in there.
However, I second the motion for knee sleeves. I’ve been using them for 2 years now and love them. I put them on before warming-up and I don’t think I could ever go back.
