Hey ya’ll,
Here is a little background on my situation. On January 10th I was hit by a drunk driver and long story short, wound up with a broken leg and cracked rib. The rib has healed and the knee was operated on and is now in recovery. The break was on my Tibeal Plateau so I was non-weight bearing for about 2 1/2 months. Last Wednesday I was finally given the ok to ditch the crutches and I am allowed to walk, but no running. I can do light weight exercies, but nothing heavy. I had been going to therapy 3x a week, but the ortho said that I can start to do stuff on my own now. I am 5’11" and was about 185 @ about 12% bf before the accident, and I had dropped down to 170, and am back to about 180, but with a little more body fat this time unfortunately. Before the accident my strength levels were decent, squat 315, DL 425, bench 225. Basically, I need help rehabing my leg. My left leg is an absolute bird leg and I need to know what exercises I can do with my limited capacity to start bringing it back. The biggest weakness I see is my Vastus Lateralis. What exercises would ya’ll recommend for bringing the leg back? Thanks in advance for all the help!
