KMc's Robs Eric Cressey

Bunny is amazing!

I enjoyed other people bees- worked a friends apiary for 5 hours,
got stung in the pinky and now my wedding ring does not fit.
Sometimes with stings I guess all your fingers swell up.

kmc

Are you new to beekeeping?

Yes we jsut started this year
we got our bees in the beginning of May, we took a class,
and have been visiting others hives since march.

Guy on my route took up bee keeping this year, too. Just went down to Florida to get another queen and take some more classes. He was all happy the other day cause they’d swarmed and he’d gotten another queen from that. I’ve been promised some honey. Glad you and Eric are still enjoying the workouts.

Hel thank you.
Bee keeping is a fun hobby- Its good that it is on the rise.
Honey
Bee’s are dying out in the wild.

the guy on your route should do well, you have a longer spring and summer and a more mild winter.

I can not praise or pimp the Eric Cressey program enough-
pushes me pretty hard, and just good programming I see you have been throwing and lifting pretty hard

kmc

sounds like too much work. I am still looking for the ultimate napping workout that is heavy on the whiskey and Ice Cream. Let me know if mr cressey comes up with one…

I am starting this here, for a few reasons.

The combat forum is great, but I am not longer
“training” for wrestling or Judo so I didn’t want to hog up space there.

I realized that when I finally decided that I would probably not do more Judo, it took me a while to regain the drive to lift. But lifting is a good thing.

MJ- so you want the irish whiskey- float and nap plan- I do too.

Elkiases, I only hung up the gi a few years ago… the neck wont do it anymore.

Upper
Foam, mobility- ytwli low back was tight.

A1 Incline bb BP (4x1)6

Notes,
this is the worst day for me, I detest incline BP,
pullups felt fun could have pushed the weight, but it 48 reps-
did not want to go nutz.
the db’s felt heavy today.
zottman curls- these are supposed to be good for the forearm/elbow
not so much with tendonitis…

thats it for today… thanks for reading.

kmc

more strong work. I need a rest just looking at it

MJ
the clusters sets are a killer
that and my natural press suckiness makea difficult day.

pulls tomorow.

Kmcnyc - Sorry for the off topic question but did you find BJJ any easier on your joints than judo?

No problem… al38 Its not off topic…

I played judo as a kid, through HS and wrestled through HS college and post college-
kept playing judo and got into BJJ say in my late twenties, or early thirties,

I found in this order wrestling, judo Bjj in order of being the most physical.
and the way to get the most beat up.
Wrestling more from the training- and over training, judo always feels more physical then bjj, to me.

Bjj was easier on the body in that I wasn’t getting slammed etc, but plenty of joint locks-
and some of the day to day grind can take its toll.

I never played BJJ on a serious level its been a fun side project- something to keep active.
My neck is a bit of a mess, canceling out most if not all grappling, so I might roll some bjj
once or twice in a 3 month period.

kmc

Looking back aat your last workout. You may detest the inclines but your doing them with more than body weight and flat db bench with 80’s is pretty damn good, too. I’ve never read anything on it but I’d have to say anyone can do a near bw bench with dbs is doing pretty good.

You may hate pressing but your front squats and weighted pull ups exhaust me just thinking about them.

Thanks guys!

Its huge motivation when people comment- thanks.
I am nibbling away with pressing , small progress is still progress.
work with what you got

6.11.09
lower

foam, mobility dislocates, more lunges blah blah blah my lower back is tight as hell,
was tight on Monday- tight at work yesterday .
OH sqpat 95x10,95x19 fuck

A broad jump 6x5
D elevated Deadlift +2" (off 45 plate) 5x5
wu,135x10,225x5, 315x5,315x5,365x5,385x5,405x3,365x5

C db lunges 4x6
70,80,80,80

D Pallof press both sides 3x10

notes
OHsquat- 95 x19 wtf right.

jumps felt great til set 4, love to do them but they started something in the low back
to not feel great.
Deads 315 felt heavy, go figure.
365 felt fine and flew, 385 flew, 405 first two felt great, 3rd rep felt some rounding- so I stopped. and what ever stiffness in the low back is sucking.
all the reps prior I had a good arch- I don’t know if its the bounce from the touch and go.

thats it one more day then a deload week woo!

thanks
