MJ my neezy I did not know you could rhyms so eazy
and thank OBS for the lovely hijack,
SteelyD having kids the Seues is strong with him.
Yes I do pulls off blocks and prefer them.
This gym is G.H.E.T.T.O the bar , there are only 3 in the gym are all will out knurling.
the rack safety rail things are arlready bent
I put yoga mats on them so it would not clang or roll to much…
What ever went on with my low back made me hesitant with these, that and I usually dont train them with any kind of squat same day
so I was feeble and kitten like.
A1 one arm db push press
70x4x6
A1 close grip chin up*
bw+25 4x6
B1 push up**
bw+25 x10 bw+35x10 , bw+35x10
B2 db BO row
90x4x6
C1 kneeling db ext rotation
15x3x12
C2 side plank
3 x 30 se
15 minute swim
ok looks easy, felt good, picked decent weights so the last few reps of the last set
were hard but not a struggle
I like these two sets of antagonistic parings
maybe this is why I picked this program its not to different from what I do-
but it takes far less time.
push press -chin up
these felt really good, I could have pushed the weight on the chin ups to 35, maybe 45
left arm-shoulder needs to catch up a little
tendonitis felt good woo!
** push up- BO db row**
I do allot of push ups- at home
so I added a 25lb plate, then a 35plate
should have just used a 45lb plate.
probably should have used 100’s on the row.
thats it week one of maximum strength is over.
jsut the weekend GPP- electric fence, planting digging holes and relaxing
Wow, KM, that post was like reading Joyce. You might be able to publish, dude! Hint: just claim to loosely follow Homer’s Odyssey, and write like you did above. You’ll make a ton of dough.
Just curious: how are you adding weight for the pushups?
I lay down on my stomach with a plate next to me -right next to me.
I use one arm to slide it onto my back,
and the other to center it, not the most graceful, it helps I am somewhat flexible.
these plates have handles too so I guess that helps.

I think Steelyd is the most poetic
I do like Joyce quite a bit.

Think bands might be easier. Set it up with elevated push-up bars. You could secure them to the bars by tieing them or just holding them. Food for thought.
Bands are great for pushups, too, but I always have a hard time getting them situated just right. They slip up and chafe my neck and get loose, then I’ll have to stop and readjust.
It would probably help if I were bigger. I’ll have to give the plates a try. Course, they may slide off my skinny back too.

When did 37 become Middle Aged?
Shoot you’re just a young whippersnapper
who puts up some pretty good numbers…[/quote]
Wow, this is quite the love in. Okay 37 isn’t really middle aged but it’s not the first bloom of youth either. I don’t know why people get tense about age. Men as the get into their 40’s and 50’s are the lions and bulls, not the little puppies any more. They have a lot more to recommend them.
(unless you’re the middle aged guy in my gym tonight struggling to curl 15lb dbs)

I do that for weighted planks, usually use 2x35 or so. It is awkward but it works.
MJ you can jump in here with your log any time.
and your rap was excellent- to rob your words
my hams and cheeze are in pain- also from 3x10 pull throughs, not sure I like that that tells me.
OBS- I sadly am not in the bloom of youth-
or I would be playing judo - and not wondering why all this hair is sprouting up.
