Ya, this is a vent! It’s not intended to attack any one person or group nor fix all the inequities in the world. In short, it’s just another guy pissing and moaning.
Here’s the issue; I have spent my entire adult life working out. I did a couple of the little local “Natural” body building competitions when I was a young peacock. That migrated to power lifting since your squat, bench and deadlift could care less about small calfs. I found that I could hold my own in the local powerlifting and enjoyed a competition about once a year until I could no longer add anything to my total.
It just seems like I gave it all I got and at 47 y.o. I’m on the down end. I have started TRT about 3 years ago and thought it may also help in the gym. I have no real change in my lifting or appearance with the TRT, maybe a bit leaner in the abs.
Is that it? Am I tapped out? I have no idea where to go from here. I toil away in the gym and watch my weights slowly but surely drop. I feel as if the only way I am going to get anything out of all my efforts would be to gear up.
