I go to a PAL which is community gym but the guy is a powerlifter and picks up people for meets and people who want to win or compete.
Just a question on my squat routine which is paired up with bench and deadlift 3 x a week mon/tue/fri.
Is there a reason hes making me squat like this so this is straight from my training log , week 1 (only worksets) 185 6x6 this was repeated on monday wedsday and friday.
week 2 mon 200lb 4x6 wedsday 200lb 6x7 friday 5x8 200lb
just questioning the way hes making me squat is it effective is there a reason hes changing it like that? just curious

also for me these are heavy loads if that helps
Are you doing dead lifts? Between those and squats I have gotten stronger on the 5x5 program. Good luck

Why do you question what he has you do? Do you believe the internet knows better than your coach?
that was a good question no i dont i mean squatting 3 times a week with high volume for me is pretty hard and also i think its harder then 5x5 so i was just being curious knowing if its gonna be effective in the long run , he promised me hes going to get my squat 2x+ bodyweight which would be 400+
if you are just starting out, damn near anything will work for you. no matter what, get your form perfect and know all the rules for whatever fed you are competing in. stick with your program for a few weeks hen change whatever you thing needs chainging.
