YOu have the option to take the shots your self once it has been shown. If you can get the bottle. A shot every week and ahalf means that you will goto testosterone 1800 48 hours after shot then go back down to 300 before the next injection. This is pure torture and can cause a huge estrodial deviation which can be a real SOb to control. Get ready for a bad ass rollercoaster ride from another moron dr.
Well what would you suggest then???
after trying the gel for a couple of months, and getting lousy results and T readings off the chart in both directions, I asked the doc for injections. he wanted me to come in to the “injection nurse” at the clinic…i said, “get the nurse in here to brief me on the process, i can do this” the doc about shit…and reluctantly sent in a nurse. I’d watched enough tv and am smart enough, I just picked it up, loaded it, swabbed my ol’ vastus lateralis, and plunged that bad boy in…1.5 inch, 22 gauge…didn’t bat an eye, like I’ knew exactly what I was doing. the doc gave me a script for a 10 ml vial, and I’ve been poking myself ever since…now E3D. I went to loading with an 18 gauge needle and switching to a 25 gauge for the injection. Again, be proactive, explain that you don’t want to come in the doctor every week or two for a 30 second injection, that you are an intelligent adult and can handle it. Go for it.

That fucking rocks! I came from the doc and he gave me Andriol. Taking 4 pills a day starting today. He said it is mild but works. He would let me start doing injections on my own I am sure but we decided to try the Andriol. He told me about the spikes in test e injections and explained how I felt after the 1st injection 2 weeks ago is normal and really injections need to be done much more often. I really am just not into jabbing myself every week or every 3 days. All I want is my sex drive to come back and if i gain a bit of muscle excellent. I have been working out off and on for years and am in pretty good shape as it is. Will see how this goes. Yeah! Im a winner lol

best of luck, and please keep us posted on how things go. I am very interested to hear about your experience on Andriol.
Will do. One thing he said is that you have to take it with a tablespoon of olive oil or it wont be totally absorbed. He said that accounts for fluxuating levels in studies done on it.
according the a very limited wiki entry, a dose of 240mg or less has no real impact.
There are also four links about Andriol, but I can not access two of the sites from work.
Are you relying 100% of your doctor’s expertise, or have you done your own research into Andriol? If so, what have you learned about Andriol - are there any known side effects, what common problems do people experience, etc.? Again - if this works for you - maybe other people can benefit from your knowledge as well.
Also do you have a baseline blood test results so that you can confirm changes? like Estradiol, DHT, SHBG, DHEA-S, free T, DHEA-S, Pregnenelone, and the whole host of suggested tests per the test sticky.
From what I’ve read, oral delivery of testosterone is extremely unreliable and can cause liver problems. From what I understand, the liver’s metabolism of the Andriol renders most of the testosterone useless. Please correct me if this is not true. It seems like injections are the way to go for younger guys while many older guys do well on the gels/creams.
I’ve always wondered if this is because older men have thinner skin. I would ask your doctor to go back to injections and go to weekly at half the dose. Also, many men prefer pellets because their slow release tends to prevent excess conversion of test to dht/estrogen.
However, Phil will already tell you, “Be aware of crooks!” since you need a ton of pellets (at least 12 if you’re doing Testopel) to even get your levels in the 800 ng/dl range (just an estimate from others’ experiences I have read). These are nice since you may only need to get them done every 3 months; however, some men report needing them again as soon as 6 weeks later. Just giving you insight into another possible treatment option.

I have read up on Andriol and it says this and that and whatever. So far day 2 and I am starting to feel something that is for sure. I am taking 2 X 40mg after my morning protein drink (with 1 tablespoon of olive oil added to the mix) and after lunch (with no olive oil). I eat alot of fish so there is enough fat in that to help the med absorb. So 160 mg a day. I dont have my test results with me so can’t share them. What I can do is say how I feel. See how it affects my sex drive and balls and mood and workouts. If it helps others that would be excellent.
