Just. Don't. Suck (Part 1)

TREADMILL
30 minutes of walking at a 2:1 interval.

DECLINE DB CRUNCH (350 SET)
25 x 20, 15, 10
Stopped a bit shy of failure or ugly reps but this felt awesome on my abs.

Career Update

I got the official call today that I am #1 on the Community Policing list. The list will be good from July 1 through the end of the year. There’s currently one opening on the unit. The assumption is that they will make promotions and fill specialty units (like Community Policing) in October when our current recruits finish their Field Training.

I’m 99.9% certain that I’m moving to the unit before the year is up. I’m still in shock at how well I did, so I’m not calling it a sure thing until I get the call.

Regardless of how things play out, I’m in the best possible position I could be. I’ve done everything I could to get a spot.

I play by the ‘nothing is official until it’s official’ rule too, but you deserve to feel good about your results thus far! Congrats dude.

Woke at 208.8 lbs. I was in the 210s before bed so I actually weighed less at the end of the day than the start. That’s never happened.

I was aiming for low carb yesterday and I achieved that but I didn’t eat enough. Today will be a high carb day because I’m lifting. I’m going to enjoy it.

Thanks!

And thanks for pointing this out. I didn’t realize how many people dropped by my log these days. It sounds odd, but I feel like I have more of a connection with the people on this forum than the people I see in real life.

We may not interact face to face, but it still has meaning.

A bit late J, but congrats man. I don’t know you in person, but you will love this spot I’m absolutely sure about it.

This is the one of the best updates of your log J, I really really hope you get it. I’m as sceptic as anybody, as long as it’s not official. But on the other hand, your system with the points and not just an interview, at least in this case is good.

And the like count is 17 now, We really do have a nice community around here.

I think you get out of these forums what you put in. The respect and support you get is evidence of that.

Woke at 209.8 lbs. Today will be an average carb day. I have two meals packed for work that include 1 cup of rice, 8 oz of veggies, and 6-8 oz of chicken. Hopefully that satisfies me and I’m not hungry all day. Tuesday taught me that I need to pack more food for low carb days. Today’s food is nearly identical except for the added rice.

Hows the one armed man going ?

How long before you can use your other arm again and start rehabing ?

I’m going to PT twice a week. There are a few exercises I can do that don’t involve my bicep. I still have three weeks in the sling.
