My wife leaves the bed if I have one. She can’t relax because she thinks I’m going to hit her. I feel terrible about it but I can’t control it. I only had one last night.
I’ve heard they’re a result of falling asleep too fast - like your brain and body are on different pages and the body fights back by twitching…?
Same. My wife gets them more than I do, but I had a big full body twitch the other night. In my dream, one of my crutches went through a catch basin. Even in my dreams, I’m on crutches…
I get them too, usually right as I start drifting off to sleep. I think the rate which you fall asleep has to do with it (at least in my case), seems if I start dozing as soon as I hit the pillow my body reacts to entering the dream world.
Meh, I’ve hit my wife so many times. We have a king bed that’s split down the middle with pillows. My arms are long, but the pillow wall is taller than Trump’s so I can’t reach her. This seems to be the only effective way to manage it.
Can’t help but sitting here chuckling, I once slammed my wife quite hard right on her head… And she had just been to the dentist and have had a teeth operated out. I wasn’t her favorite the next couple of days.
It’s been a while since I’ve had them though, but at times they’re pretty bad.
I rarely get them as I fall asleep - I take a while to drift off - unless I’m really tired. Mostly they seem to happen in the morning when I’m dozing between wakes.
Woke at 209.2 lbs. I haven’t officially been tracking my food but my two work meals are still measured. My work meals have been a chicken sandwich or cheeseburger and veggies the past two days and it’ll be the same today.
I’m fighting off another cold/virus. I think it’s killed my appetite which is helpful since I’m not very active these days (at least it feels that way).
I’m holding at 209 pretty well. I intend to stay right here as long as possible. Last year’s bulk and this year’s cut taught me a very important thing:
I’ve reached my genetic potential for my life circumstances (I’m sure I could go further if I treated training like a full time job)
or I just don’t work as hard as I think I do and as mentioned above, I’m not willing to commit any more resources to the gym
And for the record, I feel like I commit quite a bit of time to the gym by Average Joe standards!
The job is a learning experience. Taking complaints from people is the easy part. Today I got a new task. I get to review an incident where an officer shot a dog. It was justified but we still have to do a review/report.
The shoulder is doing good. I’m already getting to the point where I forget that I’m not supposed to move my arm and I start using it. It’s going to be a long eight weeks.
Good to hear that the new job is fine.
Whenever we’re using firearms (which is very rare) it’s being reviewed by another office.
Still I would find it very weird to investigate my colleagues, how do you/they treat officers working in that department?
Woke at 209.6 lbs. That’s a huge victory - we had pizza and ice cream for dinner. My son turned three yesterday but the party is on Sunday. My wife wanted our boy to have a treat on his actual birthday.
We understand it’s a necessary part of the job. We open a complaint every time a citizen calls or comes in to accuse an officer of something. Most are garbage and cleared as unfounded.
Example - yesterday a lady claimed she was sexually assaulted by a post arrest search that was done by a female officer. She also claims the gloves were covered in pepper spray and it caused her skin to burn for the 72 hours she spent on jail. It’s a flat out lie but we’ll look into anyway. I think my new boss wants to track every single complaint to track the stats of false allegations. No one can say we didn’t look into their complaint.
