The guy does have quite a bit of size on you, but its mainly in the legs… Which you are curretly growing like weeds. When you come back next time with an improved back and those hammies HANGING, There will be NO doubt who is number one.
Your posing is quite a bit above everyone else as well. Its crazy how much that aspect can really put the polish on the whole package.
Ok first things first… It is difficult to judge everything based on a few stills. I am not going to sugar coat this or blow sunshine up your ass. If you add up the total score for bodypart by bodypart. He had you beat. Again just from stills… His legs are considerably larger… expecially in the hamstrings, his back is wider, his glutes are larger and striated, his bicep at least the one has a better peak but you both have a weaker arm, your shoulders, triceps, abs are significantly better as is your overall physique but he outmasses you…
as for conditioning its a toss up some photos yours looks better some his does but his color sucks… you had some water in areas and he did in others … someone mentioned branch… he does have similarities. Again you know now what you need to work on. Legs, back width, arm size overall…

I dont disagree, to me it was just a matter of “what did the judges prefer”. What throws me off is they went for his bodytype for the light heavies and then gave it to a welterweight with a bodytype similar to mine in the overall
Again, Im almost gratefull this happened, its more motivating for me
If I saw pictures of the overall… I could probably figure it out… judges usually stick to mass in the classes but thats impossible in the overall because everyone is in a different weight class. What was the name of the show? Is there an online website with pictures? I beat a freind in an overall one year where he weighed in a class above me but then lost to me in the overall… Then next year he got into my class by a 1/4 lb and he beat me in my class… go figure… Good motivation is all it is…
