Excited to see what changes I can make in the next two years… I think my physique would be very competitive on the canadian national level if I can add those 20lbs, bring up a few weak points and keep my symmetry and lines
Who are you posing next to in the last shot?

Guy that placed 3rd in the middleweights, Seb Cossette did his prep, it was his 2nd show
Do you have any body parts that you feel are lagging? Anything you plan to really hammer between now and your next show? Or is it just about adding size everywhere?
Why did you decide to add Micro-PA now post contest? Any specific reason…i.e. works better with the post contest “rebound” or when your super lean, etc? I may follow your lead and do the same in a week after my show. I need muscle!

Cause imo post contest is the best time to gain muscle if you go about it in a smart manner… ![]()
Gosh you really have come on a long way well done ![]()
Little post contest photoshoot preview
Now off to an offseason until next show in summer 2016 (nationals)
reason for taking 2 years off is cause if I want to be competitive at the national level, in the heavies, i’ll need to be around 220 on stage so im giving myself about 18months to add around 20lbs of stage weight
In a perfect world I’d barely make weight in the heavies, like I just did in the LHW… I aint getting a procard staying in the LHW class at 5’9 anyways… so yeah looking forward to make it to around 250lbs before next prep starts… lol ![]()
Good luck Z. Been following for a long time and will continue to!

Are you switching up the training then? Staying with a coach or going it alone?

Are you keeping an offseason thread going? I would definitely be interested in that. And seeing you with an extra 20lbs lbm will be mind blowing.

Staying with JM both for training and diet. I’d be dumb not too considering the progress ive made since starting with him
Switching up training for post contest? Yes the 4 weeks following the show I do few exercises, very high volume, low intensity

Might do, we shall see

One week post contest, 214.8lbs
Julien it looks like you went for a low fat - medium carb approach leading up to the contest as opposed to a higher fat-low carb approach before for fat loss. What was your rational behind this?
Generally speaking, what are the differences you have noticed between low fat-high carb and high fat-low carb for fat loss? Does one work better for you, do you notice any aesthetic differences (more physically bloated, etc)?
