Some others have posted the same response, but I believe the main reason why folks don’t admit their use is not only the stigmatism associated with it (especially these days), but also the hassle of having to explain why we believe it isn’t the sole reason for our progress.
If I were to come out and say “yes, I use steroids”, those very words get taken out of context (again, especially nowadays with all the half-truths and hysteria associated with steroid use). Steroids definitely have a place in my current development, but learning the ropes through research and experimentation in the gym as a natural (I was natural for 15 years before I entered the “enhancement” arena)played a much bigger part and the general foundation of my physique.
However, having to explain that to everyone who asks about how I got to my size, why my bench is what it is, etc sometimes is more time than I have at that moment.
Those idiots in your gym who shoot up in the bathroom and leave their syringes around deserve all the bashing you have given them on this forum. However, not all of us are imbeciles like them.

I am more than happy to call BS on the guys shooting up in the bathroom come on guys FFS I have used gyms that I know for sure at least 20 guys that are in there almost every day I know these guys juice, but they dont do it down the gym FFS. I am also confident on calling BS when Julie claimed to be able to deadlift over 415, I really do not think that someone with a serious inferiority complex that spends most of his time down his ‘hardcore’ gym worrying about what other people get up too.
