Pulled 375x1 the other day, which was a 10# pr. Flew off the floor, so I might give 405 a shot this week to see what it feels like.

I did a 365/1 about 6 weeks ago (raw, conventional, no straps). Yesterday did a 285/9. Planning on doing another 1RM test in Dec/Jan to see where I am.

Pulled 380x2 today. I can hear 405 sobbing in fear already…

This thread spotted my atenttion. One tip that helped me to deadlift 405 2 years ago.
Get on the rack pins! do a simple cycle pull 2 sets of 4 on monday and tuesday putting 10 pounds more every workout. start with 40 pounds less than your actual max. use trhis cycle during 4 weeks and see your deadlift soar!!

Well, I attempted 405 today. I barely got it off the floor…

Damn it, this week has been complete shit. Probably from all the fucking running around in gym class at school. Oh well, nothing a quick deload won’t fix. Here’s the roadmap for 405 next month…

For the first week, I’ll do 385x2.
Next week, I’ll take a rest and do light deadlifting.
Third week, I’ll reattempt 405.

Serious squat PR attempts will be put on hiatus, although I’ll still be gunning for them on the incline bench press.

Any suggestions?

I’m in… best I’ve done so far is a 365/1 about 2 months ago, and then a 300/7 last week (I probably had an 8th one in me, but wimped out, d’oh!). Of course after that I did rack pulls at 405/1 455/1 and 505/1, so I’m pretty sure next time I do a DL 1RM I should be able to hit 405+. That’s scheduled right before Christmas.

I’m in. Nothing like making your goals public for that extra bit of motivation. I’m 5’10" weighing in at 176lbs. I’ve just started Jim Wendler’s 531 and I’m heading into the deload week of the first cycle. I’m using Tim Henriques “good” strength levels as my goals.
I pulled 280 x 11 in this weeks deadlift day. So based on that I estimate my current 1RM to be around 380-385.

Best gym pull 360x1. Set my goal last week not to shave my beard till I pull 405! Today is the last ME DL for this training cycle. Looking to pull 370. Will let you know…SFW!!!

Pulled 375x1. 20lb PR for this training cycle. 15lb PR from best pull. Then pulled 335x3x1. The pull was not pretty but I got it done. 30 more pounds and I am there. SFW!!

I’m planning on working up to a go at 405 on my next DL 531 day in about 10 days time. I reckon my 1RM is now at 396 after this weeks DL workout.

Consider me part of this thread. So far, I’ve pulled a 375 raw conventional @ BW 155. I’ve actually been focusing more on my squat for the past several weeks, but I just started with the DL again. I told myself I have to hit 405 this winter.

How am I going to do this?

I’m going to deadlift at least once a week as often as possible.
I’m going to do rack pulls, power cleans, and single leg deads for accessory work.
I’m going to keep the back squat on the back burner.
I must eat big.
I must deadlift when fresh and energized.

Today and I failed again. At least I got a PR of 390. Felt good for 5 - 10 lbs more. Argh, damn my mid-shin sticking point. I’m going to take my frustration out on my hamstrings.

I’ll try it, been doing dead lifts for about a month now, used to just do a lot of bench and arms until I saw the light haha and just got 315 for the first time today hope to get it by the time I graduate in may.

Got it on Saturday, was a 20lb PR, and involved a little hitch at the top.

I’m counting it!

Now it’s off to 495…
