im only squatting 455 but im deadlifting 585. my squat goes below parallel though and ive also been deadlifting a couple years longer than ive been squatting

I’d love to see a video of your squat. Its extremely odd that you would squat so much more than you deadlift.

All I was saying, is this is the “Quest for a 405 Deadlift” thread, and you came in to say your DL’ing 585. What relevance does that have in here? I assume you meant to post in the 600# DL thread maybe?

My son did a 360 deadlift at his first meet last Saturday. He was lifting in the 132lb raw 16/17 year old division. He tried 400 and just got it to under his knees.

In case anyone is interested his videos are up on youtube at irondoc1963. I have his miss at 400 there and his 360. Right now we/re wishing he took 380-385 . I’m sure he would have hit that attempt.

My goofy kid started back up today. He did deads and worked up to his meet pr then tried 405 and missed it at lockout.

I have to explain to him about rest and recuperation.

He’s planning on breaking the raw ipa open 132 record. Screw that teenage stuff. He was 135 today btw.

deadlift training has resumed!!
after missing 335, i hit 3351, then 3451 for 90% max…
hope to hit the 405 mark soon!!
