Join The Quest To 405 Deadlift!

started 5/3/1 about 18 weeks ago and pulled 255x7 with a 1RM of 335, and last week i pulled 325x10 and 295x16 for my best estimated max. Going to to try for 400 and above in a few weeks for a new 1RM

Nice work! Makes me wish I didn’t start out as such a weak ass. Oh well, progress is progress.

ha didnt see this atually post that is 295x16 i think

Ill join! Current best is 142.5kg x 5. Hitting 145kg in 3 days time! By the way I pull Sumo.

140kg x 7 - woulda got 8 but dropped it an inch from lockout. Grip sucks on longer sets.

I think the most I’ve pulled is 365 for 1… my grip is starting to fail. I pull conventional overhand. 405 here I come!

Just checking in: Most recent workout was 130 kg/285 lbs for 7. Goal for this year is 140 kg for 5 (doable probably even now, but taking it slow and letting 5/3/1 work its magic) and then hit 180 kg or 182.5 kg for even 405 lbs in 2013.

For the record, I did 180 kg between Christmas and New Year in 2009 but studying took its toll on my workouts, along with not enough mobility/recovery work. Building hopefully a more solid base now and trying to stay smart.

Just started deadlifting a month ago. My best is now 335x1, conventional, over/under grip. Excited for 405!

I’m in. Been deadlifting for three months, sitting at about 315 right now. Trying to hit 405 by June 2013.

Did 352 in a meet and 375 at the gym. Getting close.

awesome

I hit 315 on sumo DLs about a month ago. I’ll be good for 355 in a few weeks. Don’t your balls drop once you hit 405?

Oh yeah, forgot I posted here. Time for an update then: hit 185kg (=407.7lbs) last Friday, after hitting 170kgx5. Switching to sumo made a huge difference.

Got my 405 last night, felt pretty ok. Now on to 495…

Got my 405 today with semi sumo… felt good but I’m going to switch back to conventional and work on grip.

Hell, I’ll update: 25 singles with 150 kg (330 lbs) last week. Ditched the 5/3/1 obviously. 2,5 weeks before I’ll go on a holiday, half tempted to make the 180 pull before that. We’ll see what happens in 3 weeks of traveling in Asia but I’ll do the 180 in February at the latest.

157.5 for an easy double. Higher reps next week, then 160kg for a double the week after. Then 150kg for (hopefully) 7-8 reps, which should put me up there.

Sure, I’ll get in on this.
Best 1 RM was 160 kg, then did a 10-day insane deadlift program and worked up to 150 kg for 8 singles in 10 minutes after 9 days of intense deadlift fatigue in a row. I’m in the middle of my 1,5 week rest from that brutal program…hoping for some solid numbers on Monday!

Got 192.5kg (424 lbs) at a meet last weekend to make it official. Have video in my log. A little trouble getting off the floor, but went up fairly easy after that.
